Unfortunately mate the majority has carried the day in this instance and we need to be at 12 max players at start of the draft, including any traded in but not yet listed in our squads. Will alter the draft to single PC, trading of players now open between squads, in this thread for now, but checking with Les if a better spot might be available given the likely need for at least a couple of threads.
You should all see now that we've set up a sub forum for this league, will allow us to freehand a bit more without confusing anyone not involved..
Thanks Len - I'll admit to not studying it yet, but how do we nominate Keepers and/or delisted players - or is this done once trading id over and before the draft ?
We will be doing that on the site mate, when you are in the pre-draft screen you should see a list of keepers, (it drops below your pre-draft list if you have started one), each player has a red dash beside them, hitting that will delist the player.
I don't think we've really stipulated anything Graeme, lets go with Thursday 10th March 8pm, the night before draft, will give me time to chase down the tardy

Did anyone have a "Essendon 17" player that they can't do without? My thinking is that if so you need to take a spot in your list of 15 with a non playing spud and nominate that player as one of your keepers to be picked up again when they are eligible to play, otherwise you are getting a free ride into the next draft by using a different 15 his one. I may not have thought this through properly either, but I think its something to at least discuss now?
I have delisted James Aish to get down to 12 players as two of the "Essendon 17", Heppell and Hooker had automatically been removed from my team by the Supercoach site. I wanted both Heppell and Hooker to be in my squad for 2017. I selected Heppell with pick 45 at the start of 2015 and Hooker was my highest averaging defender last year. I think the penalty for Nomad Wildebeest is already significant, having to go without these two players for 2016. I am effectively playing with a squad of 26 in the ORFFA this season with Heppell and Hurley suspended and I don't want to be two players short in the Supercoach Draft League as well, especially if this is implemented just days before the draft. Entering the Supercoach Draft League last year I set myself the limit of picking one Essendon player who was at risk of being banned in the future and used this selection on Heppell. Early on in 2015 I acquired Hooker as a free-agent. I don't regret the selection of either of the Essendon players that have now been banned. I am open to Nomad Wildebeest playing with a squad of 14 available players in 2016, but I think being restricted to having 13 available players in 2016 would result in a penalty that is excessive.
Totally understand Dean, my thinking wasn't specific and some are more affected than others, more what's a general approach, within that context are you content to run with a dummy for Heppell and cut Hooker free? My thinking around the original comment is that our Free Agent pool is genuinely strong, just have to look at who people are delisting, it's not like Hooker is better than some of the options available on a pure statistical basis.
I'm comfortable with any banned players that coaches want to keep throughout 2016 to be retained as one of the 12 (after delisting to free up 3 draft selections). More strongly than that really, of course these teams should be able to keep the banned players in their keeper squads. If they so choose. If the SC website has forcibly delisted them already, then these teams would need to delist down to 11 (or 10 if 2 such players, etc.) if they wish to keep them. If they want to keep 2 such players, then they would only get to play with 13 for season 2016 though. Anything else would be not supported by my vote.
