I think that's largely where I was heading also, just that draft wont conclude with incomplete squads so we'd have to agree on a list of almost definite non players to be used as subs to carry for the year

I wrote the above post on 19 February, if people were of the opinion that you should have to cut your list to less than 12 players to retain a banned Bomber as a keeper it should have been mentioned then, three weeks before the draft, not 72 hours before the draft. It makes it very difficult if the goal posts are moved this close to the draft commencing.
I did not understand your meaning, that you intended to "magic" players back onto your list during 2017. I simply thought you were acknowledging that delisting had been done for you. The goal posts haven't shifted at all. There was never an "allowance" for a player who misses the entire season for whatever reason to be "magicked" back onto anyone's keeper list the following season.
No magic required @Jason Option a) was that the banned Bombers would be reinstated automatically to your team in 2017 by the Supercoach program. We weren’t that confident in this occurring so Option B) was as per the post below by @Len on 20 February Option B would work by adding banned Bombers to your list in the same way as adding players acquired by trade in the pre-season.
@Jason and @dmandrews I can see both sides of the discussion here and i'm not sure I can offer a completely unbiased position as someone who did hold Ryder. Len did post this.. ..which gave me an assumption that I could claim Ryder back, come 2017 (if I wanted to). No mechanism for how this was to happen was discussed and I didn't really give it much further thought, til now. Under the current proposed option, a CAS banned player can be "reclaimed" in 2017 provided said team creates a dummy place holder prior to the 2016 draft and runs with 14 players for the 2016 season. If we ran with this, would I be prepared to dump another and run with 14 in order to claim Ryder back? I dunno, maybe not. 12 months is a long time for a player with minimal match fitness. As a dweller in this camp, I can sympathise with dmandrews in his concern in having to make a rushed call on this with a few days to go til the draft. Can I offer an alternate option. What are peoples thoughts on teams with CAS banned players having the option of reclaiming said players prior to the 2017 draft by incurring a penalty pre-draft. This penalty could be in form of surrendering a draft pick (i.e. 1st or 2nd round, maybe depending on the player avg) or perhaps delisting a player of equal or higher points avg? tbh i'm not gonna lose much sleep over this, regardless of which way the decision goes. just my 2c

Banned players are no different to someone who cops a knee injury and misses 12 months. Keep them on your list if you wish, but they take up one of your 15 slots. There is no debate. A bunch of assumptions and hopes on the part of a few does not mean that the collective ever agreed to giving certain teams a 16th slot on their list during 2016 to hold onto a banned player.
I belong in this camp, if you had a player with an LTI you would have the option of keeping him or delisting him, to try and do both feels like manipulation
I had Hibberd and I've just been operating under the assumption that I'd have to keep a spot free if I wanted to keep him.
I've just had a look at my team and I can only see 8 players listed. I haven't de-listed anyone so not sure what's happened. Help!!!
Ok, so if I want to retain Hurley then I nominate up front, de-list down to 11 and then either only draft 14, or 15 including a nominated non playing dummy, lets call him a 'Jack Watts', to take his place for the year. Then next year I can draft back Hurley with my last selection.
As indicated, I'm pretty meh on this whole issue. If we have no way of knowing what the site would have done with these CAS players for 2017 then we roll with what most have been advocating. With this being the case, I won't be delisting any further therefore Ryder will become a free agent for 2017.

Tough indeed, Jason. I still need to make my 2 delists. One is easy enough but I'm stuffed if I know who the second one will be.
I took some comfort from the available talent within the growing pool of free agents. Presumably Pittard and Z.Merrett are the most expendable? Guess it depends on whether you have faith the old guys in your squad again for 2016 or have a focus on the longer-term future.
How does one get to see one's team? I am in draft, I have a pane with a column headed "my pre-draft list"and a column headed "add players to my pre-draft list" but I am unable to see my team. There is no "team" on the left hand side as in Classic. Any ideas?
