Why no Bonner? *schwing* Surely he gets a spot before Bryne (yes, yes, different role- though the role Bryne has been playing would be good for Bonner wouldn't it?).

And Howard- getting a lot of game time this NAB, but it's been forward yeah? He was more a defender in the SANFL wasn't he?

Dougal played ruck and fwd in SANFL last year (along with Billy Frampton) - only had small stints down back after Logan Austin had his season cut short to go in for shoulder surgery.
Dougal is being fast tracked during pre season because he is strong and also is pretty good at ground level.
Can understand Byrne-Jones getting the nod ahead of Bonner - 3rd year in the system and has actually played some good minutes - but honestly, that position is already pretty much locked by Impey, with BJ and Bonner probably 3rd and 4th in line.
Am expecting to see both BJ and Bonner to debut at some stage over the season but Bonner will definitely need to step it up a bit if he does want to get some game time

With all that said, O'Shea and BJ were cut from the 27 man squad so that pretty much tells you neither are seen as top 25
