Anth it was a good thing that TiB has acted so quickly because now whoever comes in and replaces them can trade and make the team their own, no point waiting really

hahaha. My comments in this thread were supposed to be in jest. really. TiB got it I think. Everyone keeps thinking that I am into democracy and then there have been many times where people have related these views to floored parliamentary systems employed in Western countries. I am in no way in favour of the State and many of the ways that they are run! Sure, I do believe in Direct Democracy and Consensus Decision making, although these things are completely different to the democratic systems that people on this site seem to quite often relate to my views. As Ive stated elsewhere, I did not have an issue in not voting... I am not so shallow that I can not go with the group decision when I dont agree with it. C'mon, I would have thought I deserve more credit than that based on my previous organising on this site, when in most cases, Im not only having to go with the group, but then it has been necessary to promote the views that I didnt agree with myself... A big part of my issue was that the voting started and seemed to stop about 24 hours later. this did not give everyone a chance to throw in their 2c or even vote - well that is why I didnt get to, as I did not visit the site during that time, and maybe the other 9 people that didnt vote were in the same boat as me too. vote, boat - very similar words. Once when I was little, I was so dissapointed as I thought we were going out the river (and kept going on about it) when in fact my parents were going to vote hahaha... i digress Anyways, I'm over repeating myself, but I would like to point out again, that I have no issue with semi dictatorship in these types of leagues etc, but there are certain issues that greatly affect all involved that I personally believe should involve consultation. The decision on BL was a little different to this but not dissimilar; but I mainly felt strongly about it because this was one of our comrades getting kicked out of a league that he stated he wanted to remain part of. sorry to cause such a comotion

BL's "I was intending to do this next year" could easily be taken to mean he actually expects to lose interest next year also. C'mon Jason. As if he would be intending to lose interest next year bahahahah Of course it could be interpreted that way, but I don't think anyone is claiming that they did so - well, except you :mrgreen: It seems that people were not happy with his excuse for not fielding a side being that he just lost interest. I, on the other hand, applaud his honesty in that regard.
Copy and pasted from the other thread - thought it was also apt here. I didn't interpret BL's response as a definitive yes or no to be honest. I'm a little flummoxed it was taken as one or the other. For mine it seemed to be an explanation and an affirmation for mine. To that end - my updated response is this - to Big Lance - if you wish to continue onwards in 2013 and affirm that commitment, then I have NO PROBLEMS with you staying with the league and will reverse my vote to a NO. Reason is simple - if Big Lance is able to affirm that he will be around, then I have no issue with him remaining. He had however given no indication he wished to continue. That said, the idea of "rolling over the team" from week to week that BL did mention in his post - no response = keep my team from last week ... well, that's probably not an entirely unfair assumption to make either. Maybe some clarity in the rules could be handy there. Ant- I'm disappointed that you wish to resign your team/position. I can understand where you are coming from in this respect, respect you for that, but would urge you to stay on.
