yeah just confirmed with the nfl schedule and no byes in round 12 onwards. Heart skipped a beat there for a moment ha ha ha
LOL Steve you are too easy to stir! Alex Smith is serviceable I will give him that, limits his mistakes and lets his D win (apart from that NO game, but that's a career game never to be repeated.) I just think SF window closed. Last year was your year! Same with the Pats. Move on guys your time is done! Tis the year of the Silver and Black.
Have you seen the ESPN 30 for 30 documentary "Straight outta LA" by Ice Cube ? Interviews with Al Davis and his court battles with the NFL and the links between the Raiders and South Central gangsta rap. Great documentary.
The Year of the Silver and Black, lol. It says a lot about the Raiders team that your 2 best players are your kicker and your punter. Too bad your offence and defence are very ordinary!!
Brett yes I have a few years back, all the 30-30 docos are good value. Can't see the raiders doing sweet FA this season while the 49ers are blessed to be in a very ordinary division and will make the playoffs by default
Nope havent seen that! Have to track it down! Absolutely loved the 24/7 NHL vids of the last couple of years if you like hockey you have to watch those. Our division is soft, KC arent going anywhere, Manning wont turn around the Broncos and SD are on the decline. A healthy McFadden and an actual preseason for Palmer with his very talented WR core (ford, bey, moore) TE is our biggest weakness, OL will be solid. New D coach will turn things around defensively, wait and see I guess Its preseason! Everyone has hope! Even Bengals fans!
Sent you the link to that "Straight outta LA" link Jimbowan, hoped it worked for you. Just had a glance at the nfl.com fantasy rankings which at present are : 1. Arian Foster 2. Aaron Rogers 3. Ray Rice 4. Lesean McCoy 5. Tom Brady 6. Drew Brees 7. Maurice Jones-Drew 8. Calvin Johnson 9. Ryan Matthews 10. Matt Stafford Points of interest were : - Adrian Peterson could only manage ranking of 31 - Trent Richardson, the number 3 pick in this years draft was ranked number 22, 5 spots higher than Marshawn Lynch. - Within the QB's Mike Vick was rated number 10, behind 9 other QB's. - Ryan Matthews at number 9 overall is very generous in my opinion. - Arian Foster at number 1 overall bodes extremely well for the Texans going deep into the playoffs this year. - GO TEXANS - Looking forward to seeing how a "keeper" league will influence the drafting for us.
Lets get a draft day and time set which is convenient for everyone. I worked out that ESPN will allow us to do the draft on anyday during the week or weekend. We can nominate a time in 15 minute intervals between 9pm Australian Eastern Standard time through to around 3.30pm the next day. Lets try and get it done before the end of August.
After receiving some initial feedback i have currently locked in the draft for : TUESDAY 28 AUGUST at 9.00pm Melbourne time Our SA participants are happy with their 8.30pm start. I hope an early morning start for Simonoz will be ok for him. If this day and time doesn't suit anyone then please advise ASAP. Thanks
The draft order is : Pick 1...Team Byron (BillyBass) Pick 2...Canuck Warriors (UnderAchievers) Pick 3...Candlestick 49'ers (Steve) Pick 4...The Jug-O-Naughts (Fez) Pick 5...Brady's Bunch (Wiggles) Pick 6...Jimbo's Juggernaut (Jimbowan) Pick 7...Rigil Kentuarus (bgt2110) Pick 8...Team Simonoz (Simonoz) Pick 9...Team Stowie (Stowie) Pick 10..Team Luya (Nick) Pick 11..Waito's Warriors (Wateman) Pick 12..Canton Bulldogs (Johnson) Snake draft so pick 12 has the first pick of the second round etc. Can trade draft picks if you wish, in order to propose a trade you need to sign into the ESPN site, click on "My Team", then click on "Trading Block", identify the team you wish to propose a trade with and underneath their team name click on "Propose Trade", scroll down the page a little and all the draft picks are listed. Simple. Good luck everyone, should be lots of fun and a great season.
There is enough talent in the NFL to go around so that regardless of which pick in the draft you got each team is pretty much gauranteed to get at least 2 or 3 quality players. It really is won or lost on those guys chosen further down the rounds of the draft who can have breakout years. I remember last year Wes Welker was my best WR and he was chosen a few rounds after Mike Wallace. Likewise Marshawn Lynch who was a late selection did much better for me than Michael Turner who i picked early.
Yeah i'm happy enough, should be able to get a nice solid foundation of a team with the first 2 selections.
