On behalf of the ORFFA FIXture committee here is the long awaited 2015 ORFFA FIXture. A lot of hard work has gone into the FIXture and we hope everyone likes the draw and the themed rounds.
    Round 1 02.04 - 06.04 Fantasy Footballers Anonymous Round
Placed in round 1 at the end of the most intense period in a fantasist's year. Raising awareness for the plight of those people (and their loved ones) who suffer from the rapidly emerging fantasy football addiction. Our version of the Gambler's Anonymous cards on the back of the toilet door at a Casino!

    Round 7 15.05 - 17.05 One Round Wonders

Geek Pride day is on May 25th. The universal Geek manifesto decrees the rights of the Geek to be many. Here is a taste: Right to be more geek. Right to stay home. Right not like it football or sport (WHAT! Ahh, must taking about Soccer. Phew!) Right to have few friends (or none). Right not to be fashionable. Right to overweight and myopia. Right to dominate the world.

    Round 9 29.05 - 31.05 Fellowship Round
Last year was such a great experience, so once again, we would like to propose that at an agreed time when everyone (even simonoz) can participate, that we all raise a glass (or a cuppa) to the other seventeen ORFFA coaches and acknowledge what a fantastic group of people have got together to have fun.

    Byes

    Round 11 02.07 - 05.07 Winter Solstice
With the Solstice falling a few weeks earlier, a candle-lit commemoration is likely to be still burning at some grounds, so as to hasten the post-bye snow thaw.

    Round 13 17.07 - 19.07 Bleak week
In the Southern Hemisphere, the third week of July is considered the Bleak Week. No better way to celebrate the cold, miserable Australian winter than chasing a bag of wind through the ankle-deep slush of a Tasmanian footy paddock.

    Birdsville Battlers v Gundagai Grasshoppers
Mt Beauty Uglies v Venus Bay Vultures
Iron Knob Codpieces v Waikikamoocow Incorrigibles

    Round 14 24.07 - 26.07 Laughable Surnames/Killer Nicknames
From the era when the Monkhorst roamed the marshes to the present day Wooffinddin poised to terrorise the wetlands, the brunt of many a joke has befallen those who are unlucky enough to not have heard of Deedpoll.

Venus Bay Vultures v Birdsville Battlers
    Waikikamoocow Incorrigibles v Gundagai Grasshoppers
Nunawading Nuffas v Mt Beauty Uglies

    Round 15 31.07 - 02.08 Once in a Blue Moon
Nobody likes a show-off. We pay homage to the modesty and humility of our lesser-lights as they rub their trusty Hen's Tooth and trot out a Supercoach ton for the record books.

    Birdsville Battlers v Waikikamoocow Incorrigibles
Venus Bay Vultures v Nunawading Nuffas
Gundagai Grasshoppers v Lovely Banks Lilacs
Mt Beauty Uglies v Wagga Wagga Wombats

Powlett Plains Packers v Cradle Mountain Devils
Larrikin Lagoon Lefties v Darraweit Guim Dirigibles

    Round 16 07.08 - 09.08 Mark Seaby Memorial
Once again, we have Mark Seaby round in remembrance of pick 429 of our inaugural draft, where Foul Bay attempted to pick Seaby, but realised he had already been selected at pick 430 by Birdsville :)

Birdsville Battlers v Foul Bay Chickens
Gariwerd Cockatoos v Marble Bar Misfits

    Round 17 14.08 - 16.08 Left Footers
The fourth year running for this theme. If only we'd trademarked the naming rights three years ago, we'd be moderately wealthy. Goofies are celebrated this week for good reason, they rock! http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-02-08...

Darraweit Guim Dirigibles v Birdsville Battlers
Larrikin Lagoon Lefties v Cradle Mountain Devils
Powlett Plains Packers v Marble Bar Misfits

Thanks to everyone. We worked really well together to get this done I reckon. For those that don't know, we had a couple of changes in the makeup of the committee. Chels and Fitzy both stepped down, and Jen and Grav both joined the other remaining members, JC, Jimbowan and me.

Grav wrote most of the blurbs and came up with that beauty :) I reckon the minutes laughter should happen at the time of if the score was a 24hr clock time. Like if the lowest score is 1909, we should hold a min laughter at 7:09pm on the actual International Moment of Laughter day.

2015 FIXture is now uploaded into tsLeagues. Chels did the whole code last season, but this season we divided it up between all of us. I think that must be it now.

Regarding the finals series, the FIXture committee has decided to run the same system as last season's finals series. We forgot to mention that until now, but the decision was made months ago. Even though we understand the matter is somewhat contentious, we decided it was not appropriate or fair to thrash it out year after year, when the final decision has always been the same. Last season, it was especially difficult to determine the best outcome, but we felt we did the best we could with the extensive and varied feedback that had been presented at the time. During last season, it became evident that some people were growing tired of the debate, and it would not be fair to expect everyone to once again present their arguments just 1 season later. We've decided to give the same format another go this season, and we'll see how it goes.

Something that is worth mentioning. Today marks one year to the day that ORFFL have had anyone post in their thread. Rigged for silent running?

It must be close to the start of the ORFFA season if this question is now relevant: Full or partial lockout Thursday at 1920hrs?
