These are the folks I would appreciate some help from over the coming year. Anyone wish to decline, please post on here. Match Committee: Anthak (to chair) w. chels, jb and Fitzy (includes 2013 fixtures)
As Chair of the ORFFA Match Committee, I would like to announce that the 2013 ORFFA FIXture will be made public by the 9/11/2012 at the latest.
The FIXture has been finalised behind closed doors and with a few slippery palms to boot ;)Stay tuned for the announcement later this evening.......
On behalf of your ORFFA Match Committee, I would like to announce the 2013 FIXture now. The Committee has been working on this behind the scenes for many weeks and it should be noted that this release is not entirely my own words. There are many features worth discussing and I will give a brief outline of each round as it is announced. Due to the odd number of rounds, some teams will have 8 home games and some will have 9; it was the same last season, and those that had 8 then, will have 9 this time, and likewise, those that had 9 will have 8 in 2013. Every individual matchup has reversed on last season so, for instance, if you played Foul Bay at home in 2012, you can be sure that you will be travelling to the foulest of bays this season. This is also the case for the two franchises that have relocated in the off-season. Each and every round this season will have a theme. You will see some familiar themes, as we have gone with the same ones as last season, and added to them. The Committee also strongly encourage you all to come up with names for significant individual matches - and we can add the ‘match titles,' such as the battle of the Bays” between Foul Bay and Venus Bay for instance, to the actual FIXture once they're suggested. Now, I know that the anticipation must be too much for all of you :) hehe SOOOO, HERE IT IS: Round 1 (AFL 1) 22/3 - 1/4 The Harold Holt National Swimming round To open proceedings for 2013 we have the Harold Holt National Swimming round to mark the end of summer. You may notice that all of the same matchups from last years round 1 are back again :) kicking things off with the now traditional first game of the season between the Frogs and the Nuffers [EDIT: The Frogs have departed and the Lilacs now hope to make this opening FIXture their own for years to come] # Home Away 1 Nunnawading v Lovely Banks 2 Charlies Opening v Cradle Mountain 3 Mount Beauty v Gundagai 4 Iron Knob v Foul Bay 5 Venus Bay v Waikickamoocow 6 Wagga Wagga v Marble Bar 7 Larrikin Lagoon v Powlett Plains 8 Gariwerd v Darraweit Guim 9 Birdsville v Whitsundays Round 2 (AFL 2) 5/4 - 7/4 The Insomnia Round On the 7th April 2013 at 3am, all of you in the south east of Australia will need to remember to move your clock back 1 hour, forcing you all to gain an hour of sleep this round. Or you could look at it as a great chance for an extra hour of partying :) causing less sleep, and a name such as Insomnia round... (thanks to PL for pointing out our error here) # Home Away 1 Marble Bar v Whitsundays 2 Darraweit Guim v Birdsville 3 Powlett Plains v Gariwerd 4 Lovely Banks v Larrikin Lagoon 5 Venus Bay v Nunnawading 6 Foul Bay v Waikickamoocow 7 Gundagai v Iron Knob 8 Cradle Mountain v Mount Beauty 9 Wagga Wagga v Charlies Opening Round 3 (AFL 3) 12/4 - 14/4 Relton Roberts Round & International Moment of Laughter Day Ok, so we thought it was a must to have a name in the great man's honour, but when we were working out which round that should be, the first three would not fit - his birthday, and the date of his debut AFL game were out, and the date of his second, and final, AFL game fell on the round we had penciled in for the International Moment of Laughter round... which we felt was fitting and had to combine the two. International Moment of Laughter day info can be found here: www.holidayinsights.com/moreholidays/... # Home Away 1 Birdsville v Marble Bar 2 Whitsundays v Gariwerd 3 Darraweit Guim v Larrikin Lagoon 4 Powlett Plains v Nunnawading 5 Lovely Banks v Waikickamoocow 6 Venus Bay v Iron Knob 7 Foul Bay v Mount Beauty 8 Gundagai v Charlies Opening 9 Cradle Mountain v Wagga Wagga Round 4 (AFL 4) 19/4 - 21/4 X Remembrance round - World Penguin Day World Penguin Day is on the 25th April each year, which is as great a day as any to take a moment - or a round - to remember our former esteemed leader, Xenomorph. At some stage last year he went missing, never to return; however he did do a whole bunch of great work to get this league up and running and the Match Committee remembers. Mawson Base Penguins relocated to Wagga Wagga in the off-season and have been rewarded a home game in this round of significance to them. # Home Away 1 Cradle Mountain v Marble Bar 2 Wagga Wagga v Gundagai 3 Charlies Opening v Foul Bay 4 Mount Beauty v Venus Bay 5 Iron Knob v Lovely Banks 6 Waikickamoocow v Powlett Plains 7 Darraweit Guim v Nunnawading 8 Larrikin Lagoon v Whitsundays 9 Gariwerd v Birdsville Round 5 (AFL 5) 25/4 - 28/4 Mark Seaby Memorial round 'With pick 429 in the inaugural ORFFA Draft, the Foul Bay Chickens select... Mark, oh hang on... He was selected with the pick immediately AFTER this one, at 430... how does that work...' - Classic moment of the beginnings of this comp, that probably doesnt need more explaining. Now that Mark Seaby has been delisted by his AFL sister club, we thought it appropriate to have a memorial round for him, with the blockbuster matchup between the Chickens and the Battlers headlining the round. # Home Away 1 Marble Bar v Powlett Plains 2 Lovely Banks v Darraweit Guim 3 Venus Bay v Whitsundays 4 Foul Bay v Birdsville 5 Gundagai v Gariwerd 6 Cradle Mountain v Larrikin Lagoon 7 Wagga Wagga v Nunnawading 8 Charlies Opening v Waikickamoocow 9 Mount Beauty v Iron Knob Round 6 (AFL 6) 3/5 - 5/5 BL Remembrance round - May Day Now for a round in remembrance of our other fallen comrade... The possibly infamous and seemingly much maligned BigLance was also much loved in the ORFFA, but unfortunately found his marching orders after being found guilty of serious draft tampering by not submitting a team for weeks on end. MayDay is mostly observed around the world by a general strike on May 1st each year; however is often lamely observed on the first weekend in May by those who are not willing to organise a strike on a week day. While we may not be lame, we will do the latter. MayDay is in remembrance of the executed anarchists who fought for the 8 hour working day. These so called leaders of the movement were not provided with a fair trial and were executed for publicly opossing the state. As was the case in the X Remembrance round, the team that BL's Namatjira became - Larrikin Lagoon - has been allocated a home match for this significant round for that team. # Home Away 1 Marble Bar v Nunnawading 2 Larrikin Lagoon v Waikickamoocow 3 Iron Knob v Gariwerd 4 Birdsville v Mount Beauty 5 Whitsundays v Charlies Opening 6 Darraweit Guim v Wagga Wagga 7 Powlett Plains v Cradle Mountain 8 Lovely Banks v Gundagai 9 Venus Bay v Foul Bay Round 7 (AFL 7) 10/5 - 13/5 Welcome to the Newbies Due diligence was carried out by the powers that be, and it is with great pleasure that we are able to welcome two fine new coaches/managers to the ORFFA in 2013. In their first matchup against each other Larrikin Lagoon will be hosting Wagga Wagga, and it is sure to become a fierce rivalry over the coming seasons. Welcome to you fellas [... EDIT: and a huge welcome to late inclusion Jen, head coach of the Lovely Banks Lilacs, who will be heading to Powlett Plains for this themed round in her honour - please, on behalf of the rest of us, make Jen welcome P-Rap] # Home Away 1 Iron Knob v Marble Bar 2 Waikickamoocow v Mount Beauty 3 Nunnawading v Charlies Opening 4 Larrikin Lagoon v Wagga Wagga 5 Gariwerd v Cradle Mountain 6 Birdsville v Gundagai 7 Whitsundays v Foul Bay 8 Darraweit Guim v Venus Bay 9 Powlett Plains v Lovely Banks Round 8 (AFL 8) 17/5 - 19/5 Walesy Appreciation round He may be coach/owner/manager of the Mount Buggery Disappointments in the awful ORFFL; however the Match Committee is appreciative of the community that has been created, here at TS, and which brought ORFFA into being. For that we are thankful, Walesy. # Home Away 1 Darraweit Guim v Marble Bar 2 Powlett Plains v Whitsundays 3 Lovely Banks v Birdsville 4 Venus Bay v Gariwerd 5 Foul Bay v Larrikin Lagoon 6 Gundagai v Nunnawading 7 Cradle Mountain v Waikickamoocow 8 Wagga Wagga v Iron Knob 9 Charlies Opening v Mount Beauty Round 9 (AFL 9) 24/5 - 26/5 Geek Pride round Round 9 is the first of the returning themes of 2012 - Geek Pride round. Geek Pride day is on may 25th and we figure it is quite geeky to play in a fantasy football competition such as this :) ... There are actually quite a few significant days on the 25th and 26ht May that the geek's had to fight off... and they did. # Home Away 1 Marble Bar v Gariwerd 2 Birdsville v Larrikin Lagoon 3 Whitsundays v Nunnawading 4 Waikickamoocow v Darraweit Guim 5 Powlett Plains v Iron Knob 6 Lovely Banks v Mount Beauty 7 Venus Bay v Charlies Opening 8 Foul Bay v Wagga Wagga 9 Gundagai v Cradle Mountain Round 10 (AFL 10) 31/5 - 3/6 International World's Whore Day International World Whore Day is on June 2nd, and in the words of one of the esteemed members of the Match Committee: 'Am all for International World's Whore Day - albeit not compulsory to consort.' Most of us are wage slaves in this world and it is important to support our fellow workers, the sex workers, on a day such as this. Maybe, because of the occasion, the lads from Marble Bar may be lucky enough to stay at 'The Hen House' as the Cockatoos did last season. # Home Away 1 Foul Bay v Marble Bar 2 Gundagai v Venus Bay 3 Cradle Mountain v Lovely Banks 4 Wagga Wagga v Powlett Plains 5 Charlies Opening v Darraweit Guim 6 Mount Beauty v Whitsundays 7 Iron Knob v Birdsville 8 Gariwerd v Waikickamoocow 9 Nunnawading v Larrikin Lagoon Round 11 (AFL 14) 27/6 - 30/6 Winter Solstice Round After a 3 week break for the mid season draft, we kick off round 11 late June, about a week after winter solstice. This is the time of year with the least amount of daylight each day and/or the longest nights - however you wish to view it. Once again, we've got all the games scheduled in darkness and across all timezones to avoid clashes on the TV. Lets hope Marble Bar have sorted out their lighting issue by then. # Home Away 1 Marble Bar v Charlies Opening 2 Mount Beauty v Wagga Wagga 3 Iron Knob v Cradle Mountain 4 Waikickamoocow v Gundagai 5 Nunnawading v Foul Bay 6 Larrikin Lagoon v Venus Bay 7 Gariwerd v Lovely Banks 8 Birdsville v Powlett Plains 9 Whitsundays v Darraweit Guim Round 12 (AFL 15) 5/7 - 7/7 Kokoda Trail (or Track) round This round is to recognise the Diggers who fought in the SP in WW2. Following in the footsteps of the Hawks in the AFL, this round will support the efforts of the Kokoda Track Foundation in helping to raise money for the health and education of those currently living on the Track. The Kokoda Track Foundation provides health and education programs for children on the track who often struggle to receive basic medical care and schooling - a basic social need which is often denied through lack of funding. # Home Away 1 Marble Bar v Venus Bay 2 Foul Bay v Lovely Banks 3 Gundagai v Powlett Plains 4 Cradle Mountain v Darraweit Guim 5 Wagga Wagga v Whitsundays 6 Charlies Opening v Birdsville 7 Mount Beauty v Gariwerd 8 Iron Knob v Larrikin Lagoon 9 Waikickamoocow v Nunnawading Round 13 (AFL 16) 12/7 - 14/7 NAIDOC Celebration Due to the deleterious history of this country, every week of the ORFFA is an Indigenous week, and we have a NAIDOC week celebration, amongst that, in Round 13. NAIDOC week is from the 7th to the 14th July and there are events all around Australia (for when you're not at the ORFFA). Info can be found here: www.naidoc.org.au/ # Home Away 1 Waikickamoocow v Marble Bar 2 Nunnawading v Iron Knob 3 Larrikin Lagoon v Mount Beauty 4 Gariwerd v Charlies Opening 5 Birdsville v Wagga Wagga 6 Whitsundays v Cradle Mountain 7 Darraweit Guim v Gundagai 8 Powlett Plains v Foul Bay 9 Lovely Banks v Venus Bay Round 14 (AFL 17) 19/7 - 21/7 Bleak Week In the Southern Hemisphere, the third week of July is considered the Bleak Week - even in Mount Beauty. Enough said really. # Home Away 1 Marble Bar v Lovely Banks 2 Venus Bay v Powlett Plains 3 Foul Bay v Darraweit Guim 4 Gundagai v Whitsundays 5 Cradle Mountain v Birdsville 6 Wagga Wagga v Gariwerd 7 Charlies Opening v Larrikin Lagoon 8 Mount Beauty v Nunnawading 9 Waikickamoocow v Iron Knob Round 15 (AFL 18) 26/7 - 28/7 Chelsea Roffey Appreciation Round Last season, this round ended up causing quite a bit of controversy, with Chels appointing Chelsea Roffey to be goal umpire in Waikickamoocow's match against Gariwerd, in severe breach of her contract with Whitsundays. We had hoped to be able to fly her around to all the ORFFA games for this round; however am not sure if TiB will release her for such duties, so at least Whitsundays play Waikickamoocow this round so that she should be able to be present for Chels this year without any worries. # Home Away 1 Marble Bar v Gundagai 2 Cradle Mountain v Foul Bay 3 Wagga Wagga v Venus Bay 4 Charlies Opening v Lovely Banks 5 Mount Beauty v Powlett Plains 6 Iron Knob v Darraweit Guim 7 Waikickamoocow v Whitsundays 8 Nunnawading v Birdsville 9 Gariwerd v Larrikin Lagoon Round 16 (AFL 19) 2/8 - 4/8 Breast Appreciation round - World Breastfeeding Week World Breastfeeding Week is the first week in August each year and info can be found here: worldbreastfeedingweek.net/ # Home Away 1 Mount Beauty v Marble Bar 2 Iron Knob v Charlies Opening 3 Waikickamoocow v Wagga Wagga 4 Nunnawading v Cradle Mountain 5 Larrikin Lagoon v Gundagai 6 Gariwerd v Foul Bay 7 Birdsville v Venus Bay 8 Whitsundays v Lovely Banks 9 Darraweit Guim v Powlett Plains Round 17 (AFL 20) 9/8 - 11/8 Left Footers Round To finish off our regular season, we have another theme returning from 2012. August 13 is International Lefthanders Day. Last year, we tweaked that to have a round celebrating Left Footers and their contribution to football. And this season, it takes on even greater significance, with the arrival of the Larrikin Lagoon Lefties whose home ground actually suits and develops left footers! Naturally, they have been awarded a home match to finish the season. # Home Away 1 Larrikin Lagoon v Marble Bar 2 Nunnawading v Gariwerd 3 Birdsville v Waikickamoocow 4 Whitsundays v Iron Knob 5 Darraweit Guim v Mount Beauty 6 Powlett Plains v Charlies Opening 7 Lovely Banks v Wagga Wagga 8 Venus Bay v Cradle Mountain 9 Foul Bay v Gundagai 4/5/13 & 24/7/13 edits: Fitzy wrote: Announcment on the format of the ORFFA 2013 Finals Series We have ended up coming to a conclusion that we would go with:Finals, week 1: top 8 qualify; 1st picks opponent, then 2nd picks opponent, then 3rd picks; then remaining two teams play each other. €Finals week 2: The four week 1 winners progress; top ranked (from final regular season standings) winner picks opponent; and other 2 play each other.Finals, week 3: The two week 2 winners progress to the Grand final. All games are at the home ground of the team that finished the regular season ranked higher on the ladder. Just for further clarity, The FIXture committee are all in agreement that in week 1 of the finals, the Top3 teams can only select their opponent from teams ranked 5-8 on the final ladder. We'll get back to you about week 2, and on what day the decision needs to be made in each week. now even further clarity :) We can announce that in Week 2, the highest ranked (at end of regular season) team can select any of the other 3 semi-finalists as their opponent. We are still ironing out the finer details of when such decisions need to be made and will get back to y'all in due course. We dont want to rush into a decision without giving it proper consideration, so thanks for your patience! I had hoped to give a detailed rationale of how we came up with our decisions, but I really dont have enough time or headspace. Got a fair bit of heavy shit going on at the moment. We've decided that everyone will have to decide their opponents by 6pm on the Wednesday of each week. We basically couldnt see much difference between Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, so figured the extra time would be handy, to give the top teams more of a chance to get online and post their preferences. In the end we (the Match Committee) were voting out of Tuesday and Wednesday and nobody voted for Tuesday... But 1 person respectfully abstained from voting as they felt indifferent considering the two options. So, how it is going to work, is that the top teams, top 3 at least (in week 1), will all need to PM me (anthak) their most preferred opponents (1 for 1st, 2 for 2nd, & 3 for any others) in order of preference, by 6pm (AEST) on the Wednesday evening (14/8 for Week 1; and 21/8 for week 2). I will then post the resultant fixtures publicly. If any teams do not lodge their preferences with me by that time, then they will lose the privilege of selecting their opponent, and that privilege will move on to the next highest ranked team. For example, if only 1st and 3rd send me their preferences by the cutoff, then 2nd will not get to pick and 4th will get to choose instead. For this reason, it would actually be a good idea for anyone in the top 8 to send me their preferences if they think they are some chance of gaining that privilege. If insufficient coaches send me their choices, then the remaining games will be allocated as per the more common top v bottom etc etc method. I hope I havent missed anything that we were supposed to announce, so if anyone else from the match committee wants to add anything, please do. And if anyone has any questions, please ask. As appointed Chair, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the other 3 Committee members, because it was great working with you all on this. Thanks for taking it seriously and putting in the time required to give it proper consideration. I was really happy with how we were all respectful of each others views and how we were able to come up with an agreement, considering there were many ideas thrown around. Good luck to everyone that does make the finals. It should be fun! There we have it. Its almost midnight here, so got the announcement out just in time hehe :) Regards, anthak on behalf of the ORFFA Match Committee

also, last season Jolcon and I were really careful that teams never played more than 2 games in a row either at home or away, but this year, we have not done so... You may find that you have a string of games in a row either at home or away.

And, I really should acknowledge Jolcon for his efforts last season, as he did the bulk of the organising of the 2012 version, and without that, this years would have been much more difficult to sort out.

Thanks mate.

Erm, moving their clocks back they get an extra hour sleep. They lose the hour when clocks are put forward.

Great stuff!!!!

Dylan has taken over as fitness coach of the Nuffers after Charlie Sheen left unexpectedly.

Consequently, we look forward to helping Far Kew live up to their name in the traditional season opener.

Speaking of openers, should the Whores tribute round have pink ribbons for sale? I know the girls in the Nuffers cheer squad would really like that.

Awesome work Ant and the Match Committee!
Hopefully the Lagoon mob can show the other 90% of the country how it's done in the final round.
In honour of single handedly winning the 1969 grand final for the Lagoon, leftfoot legend Royce Hart will be inducted into the Larrikin Lagoon FC Hall of Fame in rnd 17.

Nice draw. Nice work.

Perhaps add the finals so we can incorporate the lot into the calendar?

those who expect to be playing finals footy will have done that already TiB. Alas, I feel the Whitsunday Warriors are probably looking at the 2013 rookie draft already?

While flippancy never fails to provide welcome relief in our little league, some coaches might be interested to know if they (potentially) are playing 1, 6 or 5 finals. From memory this was not 100% resolved. To compensate for the moos not making it in 2013, the AFL, in their wisdom, are taking St. Kilda across the pond instead.

The Chief appreciates the tribute to Mark Seaby and the fixturing of that round. Priceless.
More needs to be made of the round 1 blockbuster between the Chooks and The Knob. Huge match in the 2013 calendar!

Islands......
Oft regarded as places of sanctuary, peace, serenity and tyrannical genocide.

Heavily embedded in global pop culture from:
reality TV - Gilligans Island (I knew Gilligan was the Mole),
to music - I am a Rock (I still don't know what Paul Simon was on about there)
to gaming - Mortal Kombat's Shang Tsung island (Finish Him!)

to ORFFA........

Round 4 2013 showcases a true Blockbuster matchup,

Whitsunday Warriors vs Larrikin Lagoon Lefties

These two island kingdoms square off at Barta Lade Stadium for the:

Dwayne Johnson Cup

Winner to be crowned - "The Rock of the ORFFA"

Thanks for those Gravenger. I'll be able to add them to the op in a couple of days.
And TiB, the match committee will look into the finals thing. Do you (or anyone) have a link to somewhere where there's already been previous discussion about it?

For ease of reference, here are the basic ORFFL Rules that we need to consider:

TEAMS
Teams should be named after a remote Australian town/place.
Squads of 26 players during competition. Cut down to 20 before 2013 Rookie Draft (date TBC). Point 1 we need to consider.
Playing sides will consist of 15 players. 4 Defenders, 4 Midfielders, 1 Ruck, 4 Forwards and 2 Interchange.
The Interchange players can be of any position. They score points too.
3 Emergencies can be selected. Emergencies must be selected in ONE line only. They come in if a player is a late withdrawal.
You can play someone in the wrong position, ie. Cloke in Defence, but they only get half the points.
SC points and player positions.
If you don't field a team, you don't get no points. If you do it again, serious questions will be asked about your commitment to Sparkle Motion Point 2 we need to consider.
FIXTURE
Teams will play each other once in the regular season. Play will not occur in the 3 bye rounds (11,12,13). Finals will be held in the final 3 weeks of the season (21,22,23). Points 3 & 4 we need to consider.
FINALS
Final 8, knockout style over 3 weeks (R21-23). Point 5 we need to consider. In the first week the Top 3 teams get to choose which team they play in the first week of the finals out of positions 5-8. Eg. 1st gets 1st choice, 2nd gets 2nd choice etc.
DRAFT
Draft will be run in snake order ie. Team A gets pick 1 and 36, Team B, picks 2 and 35 and so on.
After the initial Draft Night, coaches will have 24 hours to take their pick. If they don't pick within the time limit, they will get the player with highest 2012 SC average left. Or coaches can give out lists/preferences in case of that contingency.
Mid Season Draft will happen in the last Bye Week (R13). Draft will run in reverse ladder order as of the end of R10.
Mid Season Draft is not compulsory to participate in.
There is no salary cap. SC dollars do not exist in this universe.
You cannot draft Jaeger or Crouch yet. No baggsies.
TRADES
Mid Season Trade Period will occur during Bye Weeks 1 and 2 (R11 and R12)
Pre Season Trade Period is actually on right now, but you wouldn't know it. Ends at the conclusion of the NAB Cup GF.
You can trade picks (to the mid-season draft, not the original one) and players, but it must be to a 1:1 ratio. Eg. Thomas and Pick 4 > Selwood and Golby. This is largely to keep list sizes equal.
Trading works on the 50% Veto system. If 50% of the non-involved teams veto said trade, trade does not go through. Teams will have roughly 48 hours to veto a trade proposed (eg. If a trade is proposed at 2.15pm on a Tuesday, ORFFL coaches have until 10pm on a Thursday to cast their votes. I'll be checking/ratifying at 10pm, basically). Point 6 we need to consider.
Propose trades in the "ORFFL Pre Season Trade Table" thread.
LEAGUE COMPOSITION
a) Ape the WXV at FF and have an 18 team comp with 15 players on the field (4,4,1,4 +2 Interchange). Play everyone once, exclude the bye rounds and have a 3 round final series ie. final 6.
b) Keep it at a 10 team comp, with 18 players on the field (5,5,1,5 +2 Interchange). Play everyone twice, exclude the bye rounds and have a 2 round final series ie. final 4
c) Something else. Maybe with no finals, just points. I'm always open to ideas. Point 7 we need to consider.

Point 1. We have debated the 6 delistings at length. The only consensus seems to be that everyone can delist more than the stipulated number should they so wish. The best I can offer as a merger of the various views is; 4 prior to pre-season draft, 2 more prior to mid-season draft. Numbers maintained at 26 total. Please head any views with Point 1.

Point 2. Again we have discussed this, or rather agonised over this. Views range from the 3 strikes you're out, to draft penalties. We have on the table for consideration at the moment; 1 failure to enter a team without any advice or apology = drop in draft pick x 1. That is, if your pick was 36, it is now 37. 2 failures = 38, etc. Please address your views with Point 2.

Point 3. Think most would be happy with this format, but of course it depends on how many teams we enter the new season with. Abiding view seems to be everyone must play each other at least once. Head views with Point 3 please.

Points 4&5. Consensus seems to be a 3-week finals format or a 4-week (both assume a final 8). Views headed by Point 4 please.

Point 6. Danny di Veto. From memory, ORFFA seems a bit more trusting. How about all trades have to posted for 48 hours and will automatically come into effect after that time provided a minimum of 3 vetos are not posted? Respond with Point 6 please.

Point 7. Will pretty much be determined by how we look come Round 1. But, we should discuss it. Simon actually favours a 16-team comp, but has not expanded on this with respect to squad size, etc. Others seem to favour that we should at least strive to field 18 teams. Views marked as Point 7 please.

Other curly ones:

Point 8. We will have a roster for the Weekly Review, involving all 18 coaches. This will be managed by Chris, who will grab the ball as need be. Bama will post the bare results as usual, 'cause he's good at it. Chris and I can share the Previews. Happy with Point 8?

Point 9. Transfer of franchise. Any new franchise has to be acknowledged by all remaining coaches. So too the withdrawal of any franchise has to be agreed to by all. Probs with Point 9.

Think that's it. Address any or all, but please mark your "Point" replies in bold.

FWIW, although the september ORFFA rules discussion pre-dated my entry into the league,
I am more than happy to accept the general consensus (?) on finals format and align with that of the ORFFL.
Not sure if that is 3 or 4 weeks, but i'm sure you guys are in the know...
