Huge, thanks and unlucky @ChiefRussell, a few underperformers proved costly. I was pretty worried during the Geelong vs Carlton game when Danger, Murphy, Kelly and Dahl all seemed to be having days out. Was never going to be too confidently until I saw the final scores load up.

Years of meticulous trading and drafting during school, uni, and general time has paid off! I remember a few years ago trying to work my way to a team that could be seen as a similar force to how Foul Bay and even Iron Knob and Waikik were viewed. The last year or two I’ve had a strong squad, especially going undefeated last season, however that doesn’t matter when you bomb out of finals. Docherty re-injuring his ACL introduced a fear that my window may close without a premiership, with both my ruckman ageing and them being such an important commodity. With my forwards falling like flies our hopes were thin throughout the season. The recruitment of Lincoln McCarthy preseason, as well as Mason Wood mid-season proved vital. Toby Greene being named an out on Thursday seemed to sum up the year however Buddy being back for a milestone game reignited hope.

Stoked to get the Venus Bay name on the premier section of the ORFFA honour board. The locals at Venus Bay are said to be thrilled, membership numbers are set to rise and the town is now looking at investing in a football ground, instead of the games being played down on Venus Bay’s Beach no.5.

Huge congrats @Fitzy, I've seen pretty first-hand the dedication that's gone into building the Vultures into a powerhouse of the ORFFA through trading and the draft, very well deserved.

Commiserations @ChiefRussell but well done on yet another great season.

Thanks to all for the season.

    Well deserved premiership.

    Hard luck @ChiefRussell
If you need some pointers on how to do the rebuild...don’t knock at my door.

Great stuff @Fitzy and bad luck @ChiefRussell !!!

Our finals set up does reward.....luck?.....I suppose for want of a better word
as its heavily weighted to that specific week, which I can see we really cant change.
But if as rumored the AFL goes to a 1 week bye next week - do we have the possibility
of installing the AFL Final Series set up or is that still undoable ?

PS.....Congrats on the minor cup @anthak

Congrats @Fitzy on the win mate, well deserved and testament to your squad depth

Commiserations @ChiefRussell , a bad day to have a bad day.

I’m not too sure too much is broken with the setup. Whilst some players had stinkers, it could have easily been the other way and some players lit it up (like JPK’s 178 for @anthak ). Like the real game some teams just don’t show up on the day.

@anthak no rush obviously but just going through the Vultures history now and noticed the Honour Board isn't updated, would love to see the Vultures printed on the right side of history whenever you get the chance :) . Wish I had posted my playing 15 in here for the history books too! Oh well.
