Multiple traded picks have already been used by the wrong owners, and follow on trades are then also cocked up obviously. I'm not sure ground zeroing it is anything other than the only option, but stuffed if I know how we do it in what small window we have left
"ground zeroing". With all that is going on in Ukraine, I can understand such terminology is popular, but what does it actually mean?
@Len I am not sure about the rest of trade 16 above (just looking at 1st Round to start with) but the part where Charlie's Opening receive the Lefties PSD 1st Round which ended up being pick 2 was updated in the tracker.
It would mean reversing all trades from the first one listed onwards, then actioing them again in order. Until we hit the first trade that can't be implimented. Those parties would have to retry, potentially if not certainly voiding more traes as we go through them. It is not a simple or expedient fix, but it's the only way to return value to those who had it wiped. The ONLY good thing that might come out of it would be some people may actually check their picks when I ask each draft... I just don't think we have time to do it and still draft. FMD, fucking cancer brain, soory all
Can we appoint 3 people to go through every trade in order and empower them to make decisions on each trade, ie determine a fair alternative trade for any trades which are no longer possible due to assets being traded for a 2nd time etc. I think we need to make sure that all of the trades are processed in one way or another. And try to get it done quickly, with no negotiating but just decisions.
@Len some of these trades were definitely included in the tracker such as trade 14 In the tracker the Hoppers 2022 1st rounder which ended up being pick 16 was correctly handed over to the Cockatoos who then on-traded pick 16 to the Lefties as per Trade 1 in the 2021 post season
We could even consider including a coach or two from other ORFF leagues, like maybe TTH who understands trade value well
I'm running through them in order now, if anyone is interested it's on the ironicalkly named 2022 PSD Pick Summary tab. This is the first trade impacted: Hoppers and Lefties a shimmy on. Billings and Hayes head to the Goon for pick 20.
@Len Pick 13 was included in the tracker – Hoppers 2022 PSD 3rd round pick (pick 52) was correctly handed over to the Nuffers. Pick 15 has also been included in the tracker – The Nuffers then traded the Hoppers 2022 PSD 3rd round pick (pick 52) to the Cows In the draft spreadsheet and the tracker PSD pick 52 is correctly shown as belonging to the Cows
It fits my first thought that I thought it had been done, somehow though I've made some errors. I think it can sorted in 24 hours or so, but will need each trade that has issues, like the one above revisted by the two involved parties, and so on as the impacts unfold. I am very glad you've seen some that worked, gives me hope it can be sorted. I have to stop and do noth at each problem trade so I don't alter the playing field at the time of the trade. So step 1, Hoppers and Lefties see if they can adjust their trade to counter for 20 not being there Unfortunately we look like having to roll the draft back to the last valid pick, and I don't know exactly what that pick is right now.
@Len Trade 16 was updated in the trade tracker and the draft spreadsheet but had to be amended because it was the second time the Lefties had traded their 2022 PSD 3rd pick, having previously traded it to the Devils. The pre MSD (trades 13 to 15) and in MSD trades (trade 16) were correctly updated in the trade tracker and the draft spreadsheet. For the in draft PSD 2021 trades pick 12 doesn’t impact on the 2022 PSD. I haven’t checked trades 10 and 11 but they are all late picks so I think none of the changes will impact the first 19 picks taken in the 2022 ORFFA PSD.
