Marble Bar & Foul Bay have come to an arrangement that will see young Mr Dahlhaus and pick 39 in the pre-season draft got to Foul Bay in exchange for Brad Sewell and pick 54, both 3rd round picks.

For the many suitors interested in Mr Dahlhaus, the Chief is now your man :)

bama I will pm you shortly to see if I can assist.

I am receiving a number of pm's re my defenders, so have decided to be totally open and let everyone know what is possible.

Good defenders are in demand - I am lucky enough to have drafted Michael Hibberd, Harry Taylor, Troy Chaplin, Matt Maguire, Sam Shaw, Sam Docherty (D/M), Josh Bootsma and Tony Armstrong.

For a short period - until 9am AEST on 15/09/2012 - I will listen to offers for one of Michael Hibberd, Harry Taylor, Troy Chaplin, Matt Maguire or Sam Shaw in return for a premium or near to premium forward. You will need to sweeten the deal with an early draft pick for a non-premium forward.

Messrs Bootsma and Armstrong may also be available for a genuine quality forward.

OTY to PM me with a deal - am happy to befriend anyone who is not yet established. Existing offers for one of the defenders for high quality forwards are already on the table. There is no need to repeat these offers; similarly my counteroffers are still good.

I reserve the right to accept a deal prior to 9am Saturday morning.

OK my rundown for the Dirigibles:

    Top flight offers only:

    Maric
    Rance
    Howe
    Edwards
    Grimes
    Cunnington

    Open to good offers:
    Foley
    Betts
    Walker
    Vickery
    Rohan
    Duffield
    McPharlin
    Smith (Sydney)
    McKenzie (GC)
    Van Berlo

    Open to offers:

    Thompson (GC)
    Patrick (GC)
    Cassisi
    Renouf
    Picken

Send through your proposed trades - and that means trade targets from my list, and what you are willing to trade for them. I'd like to have a starting point from which to discuss a trade. Please don't just send through a message saying you are interested in Player X without offering up something in return as a starting point.

    Thanks so much - Chris

All my players are available for the right price
Except my captain Shaun Burgoyne :) and vice cap Shannon Hurn.

It would take a lot for me to part with Deledio and/or Gibson as well.

Mount Beauty and Venus Bay have agreed in the trade that involves Mt.Beauty trading Watts and Parker in return for Drummond and Venus Bay's first round draft pick (pick 8 )

bama and Fitzy, I think that trade is contrary to the ORRFA rules.

You need to trade one for one. If one party is trading two out, the other party must also trade two out. I do not think a draft pick is a body. Please note my post in the ORFFA thread:
"A potential problem with my objection to bama and Fitzy's proposed "trade" could be that bama is the Trade Commissioner. That might open up a fine can of worms!"

Further, please note that my understanding is that you will also have to cut four from your roster. Trades do not eliminate that need.

If my interpretations are wrong please let me know.

I think your interpretation is wrong. Clarification from the Commish would be good though just to clear things up

I think doing this is ok. I just think clarification around Len's point in the ORFFA thread in regards to delistings needs to be made.

Fair enough Fitzy, over to TIB.

The ORFFA initial rules state: "You can trade picks (to the mid-season draft, not the original one) and players, but it must be to a 1:1 ratio. Eg. Thomas and Pick 4 > Selwood and Golby. This is largely to keep list sizes equal."

So there may be some ambiguity with the upcoming draft (it is not the mid-season draft), but obviously I do not think so!

Isn't that exactly the model of the bama fitzy trade?
fwiw I thought it was legal, but was seeking clarification as I don't want any more players necessarily but might be willing to trade a player for a first round pick...

to clarify, I am not against including draft picks in a trade. Just think it should be in the style of player A plus draft (say) pick 6 for player B and (say) draft pick 2 as this preserves the 26 man squads.

But as referred to above, over to TiB.

I regard the clarification on the delistings to be clear and I spend ample time on here without repeating myself (particularly given the difficulties I have in posting on TS). But if there is still something not understood please state what it is.

As for the legality of said trade, I see no difference in what chels states is the 1:1 rule and what Fitzy and bama are proposing. However, we do have a duly appointed Trade Commissioner who should by now be well acquainted with the rules and he is the one to decide on trade issues, even if he should be involved in that trade himself. In fact, if you examine this proposed trade closely enough, you can actually see bama committing seppuku.

Reading the rules in the ORFFL board it seems like the 1 for 1 trade they mention. I'm not fussed, if you think the trade is out of the rules Fitzy and I can scrap it and work something else out.

Is there a cooling off period with proposed trades?
