Tib has said it's within the rules bama, being in charge of these things also give you some authority :)

Having said that I think chels got confused somewhere within the argument as the sample he gave as what he believed to be legit matched your trade exactly.

lol Len, we both know I get confused often.

I see a difference between trading Watts and Parker in return for Drummond and a first round draft pick and trading Watts and a fifth round draft pick for Drummond and a first round draft pick.

TiB has ruled that they are the same, I beg to differ and will leave it at that. The main objective is that after the compulsory delistings and a draft every team has 26 players. As long as that is the outcome so be it.

I agree, as Long as there are squad lists of 26 at the end or the draft then we are all good.

Let it be noted that the Dirigibles are currently one short at 25 according to the players lists viewable when logging on as ORFFA_Admin, and Far Kew have 27?

I think during the OFFSEASON it should be fine for people to say go 2-3 players over there 26 player limit? Lots of sports allow this for offseason roster manipulation. There should just be a set date when all teams must be 26 players. So if you have more you have to cut more.

During the season this becomes harder unless you gave people say 24 hours to reduce their squad by dropping guys to the delisted pool, I would favour a hard 26 player limit during the actual season.

Bandit - I am one short due to Mr Connors' sacking.

He is still on my list - but will be first delisted when the time comes, thus he's not on my trade block either.

Fitzy, Chief Russell - I've replied to your trade discussion proposals.

If anyone is interested in guys on the block (or not on the block) drop me a line. Will consider any and all reasonable trades.

Guys, why are we trading now?

It seem insane to me to be trading players for positional need when we are guided by supercoach and those guide lines for next year haven't been set yet, such as Deledio m/d? sidebottom m/f? Watts f or d?. Also final lists for AFL clubs haven't been decided for next year so we may be trading for players that get delisted or retire.

I think the trade period should run from the 1st of Feb to the 14th of Feb followed by delistings then the draft.

    What do others think?

Keeping the interest going isnt a good enough reason I think, what are we going to do be on this thing every day of the year?

I just find it crazy to be going it now.

It only came to me now because looking at my list I have bennell, sidebottom and Martin all mid/forwards this year but may only be mids next year. If that was the case and I knew that during trade period I would trade one of them out for a forward to even my team up.

I don't really care just thought I would bring it up and see what others though.

Being trade commish it's never too late to change things!!!

    Am I missing something?
    This, from the Calendar;

10 September 2012: Announcement of office bearers and tasks for 2013.
11-16 September 2012: Open discussion, followed by vote on ORFFA rules (e.g., delistments, etc.).
11-28 September 2012: End of season trade period.
1-28 February 2013: Pre-season trade period (SC player positions will be known at this time).
    NAB Round 1: Delistment Week.
    NAB Rounds 2-4: Pre-season Draft.

You don't have to participate in both, but I will :)

I think about this too and realize that we are at the mercy of VS, but this is what makes the trade period interesting for me. Trying to predict all of this and then make decisions on my list as well as the lists of others and what they might need once the positions come out. Very interesting indeed...

Unless you are willing to make a trade akin to serving up your testicles in a lovely wine jus on a platter, the Nuffers declare that we shall wait until the new year to take a shot at the trade table.

Chels, what wine goes best with testicles in wine jus?

I've pulled approx 70 pts a week back, am now willing to trade ón the following:
    Backs:
Michael Firrito, Sam Butler, Bret Thornton, Nathan Bock

    Mids:
    Clinton Jones, Mark Nicoski

    Fwds:
    Aaron Hall

    Ruck:
    Stefan Martin

but for high draft picks only, I do want or need any further player exchanges for now.
