Andy, I am reliably informed by those who partake of such fare that a Tempranillo is the perfect accompaniment. Apparently that's what was favoured by the Spanish Inquisition when the opportunity presented itself.
I knew you would have just the right thing, Chels. It's quite appropriate that a fortified wine is the the right one for this. The Spanish Inquisition had a way of getting what was needed.
fortified Andy? Tempranillo is a full bodied, gutsy red. Just what you need for "balance" with wizzened testicles! A glass of slightly chilled Fino (dry sherry) would be a lovely precursor.
Bama! Get back on the job. A closer reading of the ORFFL Rules and you would know that precursors are big no no during trade week. As we have seen, cursing is only allowed during the Draft. . <img src="http://tooserious.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/op3th-521979806v1_150x150_Front.jpg" />
My trade table: Off the charts unless brilliant offer Cox Beams Atley D.Swallow Shiel Reilly S.Thompson (NM) Goddard Tuck Open to good offers Bastinac L.Jetta Prestia T.Hunt J.Rivers M.Clarke L.Thomas J.Schulz Consider all offers Bower Sheppard Rosa MacMillan Greenwood C.Garlett A.Mullett Koschitzke J.King Will consider anything if the offer is fair.
The management of Venus Bay and Wagga Wagga have decided that Wagga Wagga's Brendan Goddard, first round draft pick (11) and fourth round pick (62) for Venus Bay's David Mundy, third round pick (44) and fourth round pick (65).
I vote veto for this trade. Under no circumstances is Goddard worth less than Mundy, the draft picks then kill it as a sanctionable trade for me..

Goddard was fully fit all season and had a good average of 101. Mundy had a great 2011 season before his broken leg, averaging 107, including the 6 he got when he broke it. Mundy can easily have a year like that again as he has proved in the last 2 months.
Thought pretty much the same thing myself. Especially on the draft picks. If you think Goddard won't be a defender next year then I can live with the Goddard for Mundy (I don't think that Goddard will be a straight mid by the way), but that right there is still in the top 2 scoring defenders in the comp (and Deledio is more chance to be mid only than Goddard by my reckoning). Either way the draft pick swapping is overkill. Just my two cents though...
Bears mentioning that David Mundy was the inaugural David Mundy Medalist in the ORFFL. I'll get my coat. Terry, I left the bottle on top of the taxidermied moose.
Don't think you saw what I said Chief, but I see where you are both coming from I guess... Hope you see what we see as well though.
When i first made the trade, I thought it was quite a good move, as Goddard has the speculation of moving clubs as well as being nowhere near his best possible capability of late. Mundy has been in great recent form and should really take another big step next year. Now with these points being raised about the draft picks, i realize it was a mistake and I regret the decision of giving up those draft picks (initially I thought it was fair) and would like to retract the trade if possible? Sorry for inconvenience, from now on I'll wait until positions come out next year etc before i begin trading.
I didn't see what you had written until after my post Fitzy. I agree totally that Mundys last 8 weeks including finals have been stellar averaging 114 and I consider this to be closer to his potential than his 90 season average. What I will say is that over that same time period, BJ averaged 108 and is still a defender, tonning up in 60% of his games. That says to me Goddard is still more valuable and I am an unabashed Mundy fan. Tried to get you to trade him to me a week ago IIRC As I said, I'd accept the straight trade and wish you all the best. The draft picks as I stated earlier, tip it way over the edge for mine. Just stating my opinion, if there aren't any other objections I'm not going to lose too much sleep over it.
I just did the math and BJ averaged a touch over 100 over the last 8 weeks (he played 7 games) not sure if my calculator is working properly though. Lol I still feel it was a fair trade, but sort of see where you are all coming from.
To help achieve Lenny's stated objective of trying to retract the trade I also would vote to veto the trade. If you want to trade Mundy I have already indicated interest in him with you Fitzy. Perhaps we could have a Mundy trade thread where everyone interested gets to put their offers out there a bit like an auction with a time limit perhaps.
Should clarify my maths Fitzy. Went from Round 18 onwards for both, included Mundy's finals ...obviously BJ didn't play finals.
<blockquote>Quote from chels on September 17, 2012, 20:50 To help achieve Lenny's stated objective of trying to retract the trade I also would vote to veto the trade.</blockquote> +1 Although, it might be easier if Fitzy just indicates if he's happy to let Lenny retract it or not?
Lenny can retract Place your bids on Mundy... <img src="http://www.google.com.au/imgres?q=auctioneer&um=1&hl=en&safe=off&biw=1280&bih=657&tbm=isch&tbnid=xMc-S07bQtf3gM:&imgrefurl=http://www.williamkentinc.com/ny-real-estate-auctioneers&docid=DdRRcDOxO35VaM&imgurl=http://www.williamkentinc.com/content/images/images/auctioneer.jpg&w=720&h=623&ei=RwxXULqfN66UiAfk2YGYDQ&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=567&vpy=176&dur=4649&hovh=209&hovw=241&tx=112&ty=89&sig=107092796296492336857&page=1&tbnh=130&tbnw=150&start=0&ndsp=19&ved=1t:429,r:2,s:0,i:103" />
