    <p style='font: inherit;]PICK #17 <p style='font: inherit;]JACKSON MACRAE
Iron Knob Head coach Jimbo steps up to the podium and shakes the hand of leaguecommissionerTerry. They share some playful banter about Port's suckage and then Jimbo heads to the mike.
'With the 17th pick of the 2013 ORFFA preseason draft the Iron Knob Codpieces are proud to select Jackson MaCrae from the Oakleigh Chargers'
'We love MacRae, as a midfielder who has also played up forward he is courageous in the air and he has a lovely long left foot kick which we see penetrating the lines and opening the game right up'

Now, I think we'll have to wait about 8 hours for the defending champ to make his first selection.

    New Codpiece Macrae in action.

With those moves of his we might need to fashion him a 360 degree rotating codpiece.

Wow, 17 picks down and 8 of the top 20 2012 afl rookie draft picks still 'uncontracted.' Will my luck hold for another six picks?

Taking a leaf out of Chris' strategy book, Chels?

perhaps Jolcon, perhaps. I cannot claim to be straighter than the straightest straight edge when it comes to strategy.

I don't think we will see a surprise here at this pick. Will be a good midfielder rookie IMO.

Have managed to sneak on to my phone on my lunch break. Hope it works ok... Macrae and Menzel were the two I was after, after Lonergan and Walters didn't fall to me. Choosing between two guys here, have tossed it up over the last 12 or so hours knowing the likelihood of the scenario. Gotta go with the guy who has more chance of going first...
Pick 18 - Nathan Hrovat (WBD)

Yep, that's a real good pick CR - Hrovat looks like a real goer. Dogs got some nice players in the draft. Seems a few of us are steering away from taller types, especially taller defenders. Guess there's a subset of players that, no matter how good they are (or how much potential they might have), just don't seem to rack up massive SC scores - and tall defenders can sometimes be one of those subsets. Especially tall rookie defenders.

I'm not 100% certain this guy is available, but I seem to remember him being delisted. Pick 19 Angus Monfries

Please double check that the player you are selecting is available first. Onus is on the coach to pick an available player, if you pick an ineligible player and subsequent selections are made by other coaches prior to its discovery their selections will stand and you will have to pick from the available pool at the time. Should the draft move ahead, or should we wait for Melbandy to pick again ;)
