Not sure how many of you guys have seen the Daw in action, but the guy's a beast in the VFL and after a couple of years hanging around he's earned his shot.
Surprised he was in the draft pool at all to be honest, did I miss something? He was a last minute de-listing for me. I had a plan, which included re-drafting him a bit later if I didn't get certain players.

If Nick had shown an interest he could have got him for a song through a trade.

I wasn't sure how much interest Nick Graham might get. Was hoping I'd be a sneaky chance to grab him a bit later. I was onto him... just not sure if he was going to be my 30 or 38... irrelevant now! He very nearly went at Pick 18 guys..... And with that, Foul Bay realising that their premiership window is now, will be selecting for depth that can play now (and be delisted at the end of 2013) Pick 27 - Daniel Giansiracusa (WBD/MBM)

Just giving you all a heads up as I know how very much you all need your beauty sleep. I'm departing soon for my Rotary club meeting so I probably won't be home till about 9.30pm Melbourne time to check if it's my turn to go.

I must admit I am feeling better and better about my decision to delist 6 and get 6 picks. The depth in this draft, coupled with the option to trade out mid-season and end of season, seems to support this approach. Thoughts?

Your charm and wit will be a sorely missed element of the mid-season draft chels.

  10. Also no worries with the draft, good practice for the ORFFL one soon.
Graham should be a good player, but he'll really have to be something special to push his way to the front of the queu to get gametime

The most I considered delisting was 5 (and Harmichael should consider himself very lucky he got to stay!). I was generally pretty happy with most of my players. The younger ones take time so you have to show some patience there, and I wasn't confident enough about being able to replace the ppg for a couple of the older ones I might have chopped. So 4 was it for me.

each team has its own circumstances - for me I had to sort out some really dumb decisions I made last year.
Those who made better decisions will benefit from the maturation process - hopefully like a full bodied shiraz hitting its sweet spot.

I am just about to leave work and logged on to the Too Serious site to check the progress of the Draft. Great progress has been made todayand it is already up to my pick again. Luckily the player I wanted is still available, so with pick 28 the Devils select Ben Kennedy from Collingwood. We are now a third of the way through the Draft.

  14. I think you're on the money chels.
Essentially the mid-season draft is the scraps from this one, so much better off in my opinion loading up now

Looking forward to season 2016 when the GWS bookends Patton and Plowman rise to the occasion.

Great get, and at least he is staying on the Apple Isle... wish he was in a Spelunkers shirt though
