I almost took Suban at 35 :) The article had swayed me, but his career 50 avg swayed me back again lol

I have plenty of names on my list Jolcon - but whether I want them at the Waikiks is a different story! Haha. Yeah I'm having to revisit a few previously marked 'not interested'

ah, the crux of the matter Jimbo - historic numbers versus expected numbers, and how to arrive at unbiased estimates of the latter.

    Lol, good point Jimbo!
He was sub a lot of times last year so he has to break that shackle as well.

@bama - yeah the Hill article definately help reaffirm, Had him on my list for about a month with previous mutterings on him having a killer pre season and being groomed for some mid time. Fingers crossed, with any luck he might jag DPP for next yr too.

At #37 the Nuffers feel this guy should fit right into the culture we've carefully cultivated here - Stevie Milne come on down, you're posse awaits.

I am guessing he will oldest of the draftees? But by how many years? Six?
Then you can trade him out having happily boosted your weekly score by many more than a rookie sat on the pine.

Lots of tooing and froing as I type this.
I am hopeful that the other player I have on my list can hang around until Pick 48... and this really was a tough decision.
As I stated earlier, I am determined to boost the midfield ranks, but I am also trying to choose someone who may be able to replace big Drew Petrie in a year or so.
Looking at his height and weight, and endurance stats, he may turn out to be similar to Nick Riewoldt... but that is a massive call, and one that is several years away. But he is a cm taller and 3kegs heavier than when Roo was drafted so who knows.
In the meantime, he will have the Brown dog to learn from, and hopefully Browny puts some mongrel into him. if I get 10 games out of this guy it will be a great result this year.
At pick 38# The Spelunkers take Marco Paparone... and wait anxiously for pick 48 to see if I have leant the right way!

Had a casual eye on big Marco myself Bandit - he was perhaps, for me, going to be a 'I'll take a fly on him if the other guys go' pick. I reckon he will be a player - maybe not now, but definitely from 2014 onwards.Elite speed and endurance apparently for a guy his height.

Marco finished 1st in the Lions 2km time trial earlier this year. Top notch aerobic capacity.

a good decision not to get the carpenter in earlier as there is now a second hole in the wall to fix after Marc P was snatched from my grasp.
    Back to the magnetic board.
