My apologies for all the tests (if someone wishes to delete them, feel free).I've not been able to post to the thread, or the site, to be honest. And the site has had runtime errors.Reason I'm concerned is that Nick might have encountered the same thing and it is now past his time for a pick. I don't want him to be disenfranchised.

Lenh - I'm not sure what should be done here. Nick is overdue but the site has had some issues (had quite a few last night from what I could discern).Has Nick left you a message or something? Should we continue without him, or wait?

I can confirm when I tried to get on last night the site was definitely down. I think with this in mind we should be a little lenient.
Having said that has anyone heard from Nick?
And yeah Chris I dont mind the new look of the site but the performance of the site is woeful of late.Takes me 10 seconds to even load pages, 10-15 seconds for posts to submit, sometimes longer.

As you can see by the three test posts I did (I only did one post, but it wouldn't post so I hit the button extra times).Let's see what Lenh says ....

Yeah its been down a while. IMO we probably have to extend Nick's pick until 9.30am tomorrow, as he may only be available to post until during the night and early morning, and the site being down at that time is not his fault.
That all being said, I could still access this thread directly and it seemed it was just the home page down.

Home page is down but when I try to get on just go straight to the forum and it works fine.... Hoping Nick turns up..!

Yep, site was down. Just been chatting to Walesy - his words: 'Wow, the site exploded last night while I was away'.So that's that I guess.

I'm happy to leave it up to Len to decide. 6pm or another time. Whatever.

Interesting that 5 of the top 6 picks in the 2012 draft are still available - O'Rourke, Plowman, Toumpas, Stringer and Macrae - as well as picks 8 and 9, despite us being up to pick 7 in the draft already. Personally speaking, this has thrown my plans for pick 13 entirely into disarray. One or more of O'Rourke, Plowman, Toumpas, Stringer, Macrae, Mayes and Vlastuin will be available at pick 13, which is a shock. My conundrum now is whether I follow what I was going to do, or jump in and grab one of these players. Hmmm.

'Flossy' (or tigger, which is apparently his long time nickname) is going to be a good'un for sure. If he's there at 13 I'll have to consider him despite being set for defenders at the moment. My original/intended pick 13 was going to be a little out of left field amongst the youngsters, but now I'm not so sure.

TBH I thought there would be a bit of conjecture around my 5th pick of Brodie Grundy (17th in reality). Seeing as how quiet it is I'll talk about it a bit. Basically I have T-Bell and Jolly in the ruck. Jolly I think may only play 15 games this season, and will probably retire at the end of this season or next. The selection of Grundy IMO means that I will have a talented starting ruck for the next 5-10 years after that. Grundy is the real deal, and may even play 10-15 games this season. I think back to a rookie Kreuzer who played 20 games and averaged 60, then 22 games and averaged 80. I'm pretty sold on the belief that Grundy will be an elite ruckman within a few seasons, and should have been a top 5 draft pick this year, and may even go down as the second best player after Jaeger when its all said and done. I'm actually more confident in Grundy than Daniher in the short and long term, and I would have taken Grundy with the second pick. IMO I basically have my ruck position secured for 5-10 seasons in Bellchambers and Grundy. I'm also confident in my current midfield, and believe its underrated, therefore didn't see the need in adding a high pick to it. I think there will be some smokies in the MIDS later in the draft.
That all being said, Brad Crouch was very hard to pass up on, and will be a future star.

I'd figured that I'd be choosing out of the two players I had ranked the lowest from what I considered my top 12 prospects. So I might get a slightly better outcome than I'd budgeted for.
