no objections from this quarter, as long as TiB and bama are happy with the plan. Pitcairn Island is not that far away ...

Not really that keen on running this thing, i'm more than happy to help out to keep it going like I have been. To take it on in a more official role is not what I was after.

What you have been doing is plenty bama, don't undervalue it.
ant was pretty keen to be involved back at the start but isn't as "around" now and was close to having to pull out, not sure about anyone else wanting to be involved in the running of it. If anyone does please speak up, if not I am happy to be third wheel to make sure we keep on rolling, but that's all.

Given X is absent without official leave, and we did appoint Tib as deputy dawg it might be time we heard from him re an ongoing solution?

I'd love to help but my work life balance at the moment is about as reliable as Tom Liberatore turning up a negative drug test.

This will however be sorting itself out by end of October, so if people are happy to carry me until then I can put my hand up as part of the three stooges?

Yeah Lenh, as I said I am happy to do my little bit to keep it going I think it's a great concept. But really if guys can't even put there teams in what's the point. Is this going to happen every year towards the end when interest drops off, the general traffic on this website does slow down a lot during the last 6 weeks of the season when guys sc teams are out of contention.

I think we need to get a commitment from all the coaches to see if they are still interested in pushing on with this league through the summer and next year. If we can't get that we might as well pull the pin which would be a shame.

By the way it only takes me 1/2 an hour to get the results and ladder up each week, it's not a lot of time and i'm happy to keep doing that next year.

    Penneth worth.

Tri-Commish? Gillard, Rudd and Abbot perhaps? Seems a little unwieldy to me, requiring coordination of responsibilities and effort.

For as long as bama keeps on doing what he is doing, I think we can struggle through to the end of the season, without introducing any major changes. Interest may wain a bit, but the draft/trade period provides a good opportunity to fire up enthusiasm again. I suggest this because we need to give X an opportunity to respond to what is said on here. I am not in favour of a palace coup and would prefer to see X either step down or step up to the plate and 'do something!'. Lets not forget X is also a coach and we should not be giving the little penguin any opportunity to slip away. The difficulty for me as Asst. Commish is it is very hard to jump in and grab the ball when I have no idea what X is doing or thinking. I have made a couple of unsuccessful attempts. X is also a Moderator annointed by walesy, so he can do all sorts of magical things like posting on the main page. A regular preview and results summary is, I think, critical to resolving the issues Colonel Sanders has raised. And, I would hasten to add, ORFFL is not without some of these problems.

On a more positive note. I think we can all learn a lot from this experience to make next year more interesting. If it were up to me, I would roster everyone to take a turn at doing the results write-up, thereby getting everyone more involved. And I would have a thread simply called 'Commish' so that everyone can bellyache there, without issues getting lost amongst other matters, and you can be guaranteed of a response because the Commish has to monitor that one above all else. I would also nominate a deputy to oversee the draft (looking at you Chief) and another one to oversee the trade period. Perhaps that is just me (and Len) - there are times when I want to wring someone's neck when they don't turn up for their pick and having a deputy would likely save a few necks. I would also have a calendar, so there are no excuses for not returning to this site at the appropriate time.

We also have quite a few issues bubbling away on which there has been some good discussion (no. of players, no. of delistments, etc.). But this needs to be put together in a manner that everyone can can vote and decide. And it needs to be timed for when everyone is in the vicinity.

So, tell me what you would like me to do between now and season's end and bama will do it (that there is a joke Fitzy). Suggest we give X every possible opportunity. If he is unable to respond by R22, I will take it to a higher authority and then ask for a walesy-sanctioned election for a new Commish.

    Thoughts folks?

See Terry, this is why I nominated you to be a part of running it and not me.

I like the plan, let's invade Poland next :)

Bandit clearly has his arms full already.

We may need to enlist some assistance from Snoz for the invasion of Poland. Are the girls nice and is it still warm at this time of year?

their version of borscht can be very fine, their version of vodka very warming and their version of women very welcoming. No invasion - just a walk on part in a war! But only if you think you can tell heaven from hell.

I like your plan TiB; down Ekatahuna way saving face is important in any resolution.

Plans for delisting some of the Incorrigibles are in hand, the draft is about all that we have to look forward to now. But next season .....

I found it! I found it!

Looks very green. Almost like Ireland. Suggest an attack from the South, don't want to end up swimming in doggie poo in Pomeranian Bay. Looks like we might also need someone to help us pronounce some of the street signs.

Unsure if I am going by the title of 'Chief' or 'Colonel' now Terry.
Happy to support anyone who has the time and want for the commish gig. Leadership is not my go, do enough of it at work, happy to be one of the mindless outside of work hours...
