Disappointing round with 4 teams not getting a score. Foul Bay might of lost a game if the other team showed up!

Another zero v Foul Bay? I know I had a slim chance of catching Chief but its BS! A loss to Mawson this week would have made things very interesting for the last round.

Good work with the results bama

    NO EXCUSES FOR ZERO SCORES.
I'M AS BUSY AS ANYONE BUT CAN CLICK A LINK ON A COMPUTER AND CLICK DROP DOWN BOXES FOR 30 SECONDS.
3 MINS IF YOU WANT TO CHECK TEAM SHEETS.

Not terribly satisfying for me either Jim. I basically didn't think too much at selection last week as I thought based on the last couple of weeks that I would be playing against no-one.
At least knowing this allowed me to get some game time into JJK to lead him in to next year.
Do I give some blokes the opportunity to play this week or do I try and chase history and become the first undefeated team in ORFFA history. Probably the latter...

I am thinking, heavy and hard. I will consult around the traps first, but the thinking is draft penalties for not entering teams. Mohr.

    And thanks bama.

    Agreed, penalties are required.
It's like Dean Bailey forgetting the game is on, which is worse than being in the box and putting Jamar in the back pocket to fine tune his ability of reading the ball off the pack.

I have not entered my team once this year, but I had a genuine excuse, not like I just forgot, I agree with penalties... even if I get one, although would be extremely unfair. They should get a chance to say why they didn't enter their teams, if the commish thinks it isnt good enough, then a penalty should be given out. Thoughts?

Fitzy, I think 1 off offenders should be cut some slack, it's the multiple offenders that should be penalised. I think you will find most them wont be around next year though.

Thats a shame, everone seemed so keen earlier in the year... we should see if anyone else on TS wants to take over there team?

On the penalties, thats fine but a flip side to the coin is if you penalise coaches then they are less likely to want to return, penalise teams who lose their coaches and you are penalising future new coaches which doesnt seem fair.

    It needs some thought.

I would be tempted to say hey we rushed into this season a bit lets cut the coaches who dont want to be a part of this awesome league and get some new enthusiastic coaches in and lets not penalise these new guys.

This is true JimB, as a cautionary note. However, in the event of a team changing owners, full rights could be restored. Losing interest and not entering a team is one thing, tanking for draft picks is another.

Currently loaded as Admin as have been checking the record (mainly to see if the Snoz-recommended 3-strikes policy would be effective).

Worthy of note is that everything was smooth sailing up to and including ORFFA Round 9. Coincidence or not, it was after R9 that X, for whatever reason, was unable to do the front page review. So, the review is significant. So we have:
    R10 Namatjira (1)
    R11 Nunnawading (1)
    R12 OK
    R13 Venus Bay (1). Apologised.
    Whitsundays (1). Apologised.
    R14 Namatjira (2)
    R15 Far Kew (1)
    Mawson (1)
    Birdsville (1). Apologised.
    R16 Namatjira (3)
    Nunnawading (2)
    Darrawiet Guim (1)
    Mawson (2)

3 strike policy would work for this season as it has been a suprise, but for future years people will just use 2 strikes if they are tanking...
