Oh, Fitzy - my four Richmond players are the four lowest scoring Tiger players on the park at half time. Do you want to rest a few of your guys for games after the bye? Yay team!
Short of an unspeakable disaster today the Vultures have picked the Dirigbles' carcass bare. Bravo Fitzy, thought I had half a chance before the Sunday games but those guys came to play and a couple of my guys were a touch off the boil. The bye comes at a good time for the Blimps, methinks!
On Friday afternoon Dean noted: 'Lee Spurr is a late out with a corked leg which has required me to reshuffle the Devils line-up and move Gwilt from the ruck to defense and 175 cm tall Ben Kennedy from an emergency to the ruck, so basically we are conceding the ruck to Sam Jacobs.' On Monday afternoon: 'Late Changes -<strong style='color: #2e2e2e;]Collingwood:[/b][span style='color: #2e2e2e;]Jarrod Witts replaced in selected side by Ben Kennedy.' [span style='color: #2e2e2e;] [span style='color: #2e2e2e;]As we see so often life imitates ORFFA. I guess it is the sincerest form of flattery.
Provisional Scores - Waikick Cows (1472) defeated the Cradle Mountain Devils (1142) Les W votes 5. J McVeigh (WAI) 151 4. T Mitchell (WAI) 144 3. ]H Taylor (WAI)137 2. ]S Jacobs (WAI)131 1. D Hannebery (WAI) 126 Footnote - Nat Fyfe's run of nine consecutive Les W vote gaining performances came to a run with his 116 SC points only good enough for sixth place. Many thanks for the match Dean, you were very unlucky to catch the Cows in a rare week of strong scoring. I think both teams will benefit from the bye rounds. Prediction - the CM Devils scored four centuries. An end to injuries and playing players OOP and with non-centurions Liam Shiels, Stevie J and Zorko the magician all coming into form there are some big totals to come for Dean's mob. Beware of the Devil(s).
I didnt have time to set my team up on Friday, so its lucky for me that we have the rollover in place this season. Hopefully the run in the magoos will do Smith good for after the Mid season break
Think we've broken Walesy's adding up machine. The Foul Bay Lovely Banks score is wrong - Sam Wright's 82 on the bench for Foul Bay has been added in because Michael Johnson scored minus 3. That shouldn't actually be the case - the 82 shouldn't be added and the minus 3 ought to be taken off Foul Bay's score. I have Foul Bay still winning by 2 I think - Jen wanted two more points out of Langdon in the closing stages of today to pull off the upset - but someone may want to check and re-add. In the meantime, Foul Bay's points for will need to be reduced too. IS this the first time this has happened?

It appears that Michael Johnson's -3 counted as a zero and Sam Wright's emergency score kicked in. I have still snuck home by 2 points (1271 - 1269) from nowhere thanks to some Bernie Vince heroics and a huge Sunday/Monday comeback. Lost Chris Judd for the year (3rd ACL this season at the Chooks) and Michael Johnson for basically the year so was probably one of the teams more gutsy wins. Judd injury has thrown a massive spanner in my MSD plans, not to mention my year as not having 5 of my best choice 15 leaves me in a big hole going forward.

Jen's pretty much of the opinion that she'd have rather lost by 100 than 2 points. Couldn't have asked for any more from her guys, even her fill ins and rookies played out of their skins. Think she would've beaten my sorry mob of players this week. I'm having a serious rethink about the MSD to be honest - got a bunch of defenders who didn't score above 70 this week - and three got subbed out or injured. Yet I end up trading one away because I have a midfield held together with string! Fun fun. Anyone got some midyear draft picks they want to give me?
