Just to confirm - Charlie's Opeing 1266 def Darraweit Guim 1260 with a dramtic Josh Hill goal on the siren in the last game. Would've been a remarkable win if Darraweit had've gotten up without some key players ... but alas it wasn't to be. Won't list all the scores tonight, but Les W votes: 5- Petrie 4- Walker 3 - Harvey 2 - Jack 1 - A Swallow Unlucky to miss a vote was Shane Edwards, who had 102 in 2.5 quarters before being subbed off.

Three players from Lovely Banks were in the votes, Mitch Duncan, Dane Swan who spent more time in the midfield than the past two weeks and Craig Bird. Lovely Bank gave a consistent performance with only one player Andrew Krakouer scoring below 60. During the mid-season trade period and draft LBL have a chance to replenish their playing stocks and have some of their current players recover from injury. Expect Lovely Banks to be revitalised in the second half of the season and win several more games than they did in the first half of the season. Jack Redden was best afield for the Devils, scoring 149 points whilst his captain Scott Pendlebury has been a model of consistency in Rounds 8, 9, and 10 to score 118, 119 and 119 respectively, receiving Les W medal votes in each game. Another four Devils including young gun Nick Vlastuin scored at least 100 points. Unlike Lovely Bank the Cradle Mountain Devils had no problem fielding a full strength team having 19 players to choose from however they will be looking for improvement in players 11-15 in the second half of the season with all five players in this range scoring below 60 against Lovely Bank.

For a team that had three short, I am not unhappy about how we went. I am very much looking forward to the three week break and the trade and draft period

In fact Bandit - we were both wrong. I think I forgot to add someone's score in somewhere, and in your adding up, you gave me the wrong Edwards -I've got Shane Edwards not Aaron Edwards! I added up 1237 without Edwards, and given Shane scored 102 before being subbed off, I actually ended up with 1339. How the hell did I get that so wrong? Ah - now I see - I forgot to add in Rory Thompson's score at the end of the bench. That'd be the reason. Thanks for alerting the scorekeepers Bandit. If you want to double-check my double-checking that might be a good idea! But provisionally - Guim 1339 - Spelunkers 1266.

No probs Bandit - thanks for the hospitality at the Pit. What's the status of the scores? I'll try to pull together a write-up tonight as trades and MSD start in earnest.

The Nuffers hosted the goons but on perusing the teams I can't find a team line up for them. We got so pissed I can't even remember if they turned up. Anyway, here's the results for the Nuffers and I'll leave it up to the powers that be to let me know what comes.

Might like to include a comparison on how we are tracking with Chief Russell's odds given at the start of the year and a mention of the luck that has befallen the Grasshoppers so far (just suggestions). Anthak can assist with getting it up on the home page. Yep will do, I'll make new odds and compare them with CR's odds.. will try not to be too bias with my beloved Wombats.. ;) I think he meant compare CR's start of year odds to the current ladder, I may be mistaken though, I just assumed the odds were CR's thing... :) Correct.
