Foul Bay's Geelong quintet are tearing into the 500+ point lead Darraweit Guim has established late in the match up. Let's see if the lead is big enough with Selwood, Hawkins, Bartel, etc on fire.

Let's see if the lead is big enough with Selwood, Hawkins, Bartel, etc on fire. Nah, you have well and truly got me covered. Selwood the only one doing real damage. Is Stokes even playing haha? Was thinking about it before the day started, my team is mirroring Geelong from earlier in the year. Have been winning games but not really playing that well. This weekend it has all come back to bite me. Hopefully it just serves as a wake up call.
Injuries and suspensions haven't helped but everyone cops those. Team selections have been terribly bad all year, probably because I have only been able to consistently rely on Selwood, Dangerfield, Roughead, Bartel, Libba and funnily enough Ibbotson. When four of them don't fire like this week then I am going to be in a world of trouble. The rest of the team seem to play one week on, one week off (and more often than not, it's the week I don't select players that they fire).
Iron Knob should definitely win the flag this year with Ablett and Griffen playing like they generally do. Chels might be the best team to stop them if his young midfield peaks together at the right time.
Or my team could wake up and get their act together.
Regardless Chris, well played this weekend, your score is a formidable one in any case that was always going to be tough to chase down.

The representatives from Iron Knob have power and bench players who made us look like we were from a much lower league. Well done on your drafting and selections Jimbo, an awesome effort. I understand you guys also won all the after match raffles - nothing like a complete rout and some duty free pinot to complete a weekend away.

High powered display from Darraweit to comfortably crack the 1400 barrier despite having a sub affected score from Foley. Pavlich and Dangerfield were big losses no doubt (especially Danger) but the midfield failed to fire and the much vaunted forward line depth that I worked hard to acquire over the pre-season has been a bust (especially when I traded the best of the lot of them in JJK).

Yep, correct weight mate. And spot on with the summary as the Devils were severely hampered from the start. Yet again, the ruck division has bailed my arse out. McEvoy would be $1.01 to win the Battlers B&F.

I reckon though you really missed Pav and Dangermouse a lot more than you say ... Pav has done well v Richmond the last couple of years and Dangerfield might've had a field day against Geelong y'day. Reckon that's the highest score Darraweit has bunged together since the first round of play last year, so you copped us on a good week. Happy with the form though - the trade and draft period has helped us a little. (And other teams too - Nicky Dal tearing it up for Gariwerd, Tomlinson doing well at Marble Bar - think I might regret that trade Len! - and Van Berlo earning his pay at Gundagai are good to see). The drinks were being enjoyed last night at the pub, but Mullet and the boys will have to bung the serious faces back on in time for the big game against the Codpieces next weekend. That's going to be another tough one.

The representatives from Iron Knob have power and bench players who made us look like we were from a much lower league. Well done on your drafting and selections Jimbo, an awesome effort. I understand you guys also won all the after match raffles - nothing like a complete rout and some duty free pinot to complete a weekend away. Thanks for a cracking game Chels some huge scores from GAJ, Hannerbury and Griffen to keep the crowd entertained. I think you were a tad unlucky tbh, a few of your boys need a look in the mirror after under par scores from blokes like Fyfe, Duffield, Pods, Mcaffer and even McVeigh has been better than that of late. I think you will be there abouts by season end and we may meet again in the finals. Ricky Henderson with 150 for me on the bench too, has been hot of late and think he just grabbed himself a place in the starting line up.

Scotland is already in retirement mode and Conca has been very underwhelming since returning from injury. Curnow's cameo was a positive from the mire. A very solid team performance from the Trogs with 5 tons and only a couple scoring under 80

A very solid team performance from the Trogs with 5 tons and only a couple scoring under 80 I was quite surprised with breaking the 1400 I must say... Jack and The Frenchman brought it home under a wet sail, but NicNat and Priddis had me worried. It looks like Hale and Lewis enjoyed the ice skating... maybe you should consider a permafrost up at the Lagoon... would make a great skating rink in addition to a different type of football ground... pre season might be a bit hard though
