Very tight match so far at Marble Bar this week.
    Gundagai 933 from 11 - Avg 84.818 Marble Bar 1115 from 13 - Avg 85.77
Gundagai with their noses in front now with 361 projected to come, - total of 1294 (2013 highmark for the Hoppers?), vs only 151 to come for the Bar to a total of 1266..

Nothing much in the Iron Knob/Darraweit game either - Iron Knob 951/11 with JRoo, Minson, Griffen and Darling to come Darraweit 777/8 with Westhoff, Hutchings, Rance, Maric, Foley, Vickery and Shane Edwards to come. Think average scores have it about 30 points in favour of Darraweit, but way too close to call right now.

All pretty exciting stuff. Tommahawk went off half way through to have his back attended to and was circa 60SC. Didn't look like he would come back and with the Cats so far in front there was no need to risk him. But miracles happen. After all that the Chooks didn't field him. No concerns in Waikik land. I forgot to mention all the spuds are down back, along with an OOP. Cannot believe the Hoppers are on the march. Early days, but might be justice for somebody 'fixing up his team' for him. Chris needs a bag from Ty. Overdue. Wombats and Vultures very intriguing as Docherty has the vest and Big Cox just might have a big day out against Big Will.

I'm glad Tom Hawkins took his savaging in the media from the Foul Bay head honcho well and stuck it up him with a 128 in the reserves this week. Story of my season.... See above comment and replace Tom Hawkins with Luke Dahlhaus and replace 128 with 150. Good to see this week is like every other week this season and I have left in excess of 200 points on the bench.

Hope you enjoyed the venison with juniper berry sauce on Saturday night and I am willing to bet the silverside sarnies will be all gone well before the descent into Q. The Les W Medal votes tell the story of a visiting team with some very strong positional players but a disturbing lack of depth - especially in the back quarter of the field. However, the future looks bright for the Warriors with players of the quality of Birchall and Patton to come back. The Incorrigibles got lucky again with the Sydney midfield trio putting in some hard yards late in the piece. The conventional wisdom apparently is that Titch is cooked” after a first hard year - yeah right. Chels' ability to select the best team has been called into question (again) with the pundits suggesting more than 100 extra points sat on the pine this week. The Waikiks need to get this right as 1300+ scores will be needed from here in not the current 1200+ scores.

I had the wrong Selwood in at first and I was stressing about the BOG performance of the Joel variety causing me to lose by a small margin... So I thought I'dbetter go check which Selwood and which Lynch play for the Lefties, and I was happy to find out Scott had scored 60odd points less than Joel and was the actual one that played in Gariwerd this weekend.
    Here's the scores:

Nunawading (1063) Def by Birdsville (1134)
In a weird match the Nunawading players scores were up and down like a brides nighty, Nuna players dominated the medal votes, whist Birdsville's even, workmanlike effort got them over the line. Nunawading are really hurting without a playing ruckman.

Messers Edwards and Maric are off my Christmas card list - pathetic scoring by both of them when they were needed most. Good win jim - and that was without two good backmen and Luke Shuey in the mids. If I couldn't knock you off this week, it ain't ever gonna happen when Garland, Hanley and Shuey return.
