I don't think the timing of the discussion is helpful. I have never had any issue with people not naming their full side before the first lockout. Heck, (as TiB pointed to) it must have looked hypocritical of me to have a heap of TBAs in my lineup!! All of my comments are about the final team at the final lockout. (A point we have not gotten to yet in this round) I need to stress that I have absolutely no problem with the way anyone has picked their teams so far this round. I agree with you TiB, 100%, that it seems odd to need rules against cheating in a league (Assoc.) like this. Considering what happened in round 1 seemed like an honest mistake, maybe we/Ishould just let it go. Its probably not worth worrying about any further. Good discussion though Thanks for the input Commish! Very good comment.

Think another thing to consider when the time comes will be the incidence of split/bye rounds in 2015. At the moment it seems the AFL is up in the air on what it going to happen, which probably throws everyone else into uncertainty as well. Personally, I believe that bye round or split round loopholing is OK, as long as it is made clear in the round thread what you are doing. I'd also vote in favour of outlawing blanks as well. Hopeful perhaps that the number of split rounds in 2015 is more limited.
Okay, following TiB's clarification I am cool with what is going on. Waikick guys who have not played yet can be moved around but those who have played are 'fixed' in place.

Think it depends on how many indigenous players the Waikiks have on their list. Over on the mainland other coaches have experienced problems trying to fix some players in place as they like to go walkabout.
If there was any need for proof that Cameron is a born Misfit this is it http://www.gwsgiants.com.au/news/2014-07-22/cameron-surgery He is now off the trade table

His reaction to our no pig hunting during the afl season edict has been three suspensions. As the roar is currently taking place Mitch has managed to get in four weeks of pig hunting in a five week period. You might have noticed the new hair colour - he did not even bother to remove the camouflagebefore the last game.
All very interesting... whilst I named TBA in some spaces, it never dawned on me to use a loop hole in ORFFA, simple because this is a game more about the comeraderie and craic than it is about winning the bloody thing (unless you are ChiefBet, who has the bonus of winning the bloody thing in addition to the other two drivers!) So I look at my list, and yeah, i could use a loop hole to claim the ton from Savage in the middle... but I was never going to... so if the rule is that we shouldn't be allowed to loophole... then I'm all for it as we don't do it anyway, but I don't think we need a rule for it

Impressive chels and certain to pull a lot of votes, but it seems Brian Lake is short odds to take out the porky massacre prize this year.

I've got no problem with the loophole being utilised in the ORFFA... That said, if we decided as a group not to do it, then I'd be cool with that decision too.
A simple soul, who likes to keep things simple. Our game is built around SC. In SC you can loophole, split round or no. The majority who use it do so for their captains. We do not have captains. What you cannot do in SC is leave a blank or TBA on the field. If you don't fill every box you don't register a score - any score.
Just need to get Walesy to make tsleagues work like SC In SC, last weeks team is also entered by default, you don't even need to get your crayons out to play...
Ultimately any concerns I have had in regards to leaving blanks in my team have ended up redundant as I have some non-playing players after all DEF: Frawley, Gibson (welcome back), Rance, Seedsman (e: McPharlin) MID: Goddard, Armitage, Tyson, B Jack (e: Cornes) RUCK: Nic Nat FWD: Harvey, Westhoff, McGlynn, McDonough, (e: Hunter) I/C: Maric, Hill (e: Cooney)
Just the one minor change after seeing this week's teams. Lycett comes out of ruck emergency and Dom Sheed comes into a blank midfield emergency.

Even less now with Paparone dropped, still because we hate blanks we have decided to leave him in. In the spirit of blank fellowship, we are naming Nathan Bock on the IC (Who said he wouldn't play again??!!) and Matty Arnot gets to run around in a spiritual sense at least in the mids. Selection committee seriously kicking itself that they couldn't fit in the rest of the non players... The statisticians are currently in a state of chaos debating on whether this game counts for the three strikeouts, and if it does what does it do to their averages... The realists have gone for a beer..
