Weather forecast for the game: very wet, becoming even wetter. The flight was lovely Chels. Air New Zealand are always top notch, though Auckland Airport at 5 in the morning i the sort of place you could sleep without any risk of being awoken. As for your team - a good one. That midfield always frightens me. Lots of good names in there.And the wet doesn't bother us - though our endeavours to smuggle some pure 100% Darraweit Guim mud aboard the flight to make us feel more at home were thwarted by a zealous Customs dog.

 

Darraweit Guim's match committee have had a tough time deciding on a team for this week. A lot of guys pushing for selection, and very few guys in the side doing anything wrong right now. That said - there's been three changes made, and a couple of risks taken: D: Duffield, McPharlin, McKenzie, Rance (e R Thompson) M: Dal Santo, Boyd, Cunnington, Foley (e B Hill) R: Maric(e Van Berlo OOP) F: Harvey, Vickery, Edwards, Walker (e Bewick) IC: Newnes, Tomlinson. In Newnes, Tomlinson, Maric Out Walters, Van Berlo, Thompson Rory Thompson is going to have a break this weekend given his likely AFL matchup. Walters is unfortunately injured - we've actually constructed a hyperbaric chamber out of twigs, organic matter, rubber bands and two small, but important, hinges ... and young Michael is recovering in there. Nathan Van Berlo extremely unlucky given his brave efforts in the ruck last week. Jack Newnes and Adam Tomlinson have been rewarded for continued good form in the reserves - great to see another couple of youngsters picked up in the recent draft and trade period starting to hit their straps. And last but not least, the Mighty Mullet returns to the number 1 ruck possie with newly coiffed hair. Walker will play forward this week to support an undermanned attack (without Walters and Betts). Foley takes his spot in the middle.

Darraweit are already on their way home from NZ after a pathetic effort this week. Heads are going to roll. Meanwhile, I'll most likely need someone to jump in and do the review this week - I'm not going to be able to do it unfortunately due to work commitments.

Comfortable win in the end to the Gariwerd boys, Koby out in front of an uninspiring but adequate Cockies, the Misfits had a few too many passengers this week.

I was curious to see how much I scored, cause I'd noticed during the weekend that a lot of my players were scoring 90+, but there were a few that scored very low too, and my centurions did not go large this week, so a fairly modest score in the end - or uninspiring, as you put it... I did notice a small mistake in the scores though: you have included Tom Murphy's full score, but we had to use him in the fwd line this week, so we can only take 26 of his points. Makes our total score 1192 I think.
