Round 1 results are in with Vic/Tas taking an early lead 1374/12 versus 823/8 for The Others Vic/Tas off to a reasonable, but not amazing start. Cradle Mountain's own man mountain Tim English banking a 156 bought a smile to @dmandrews face, but some sub par scores in the mids and forwards have the selectors slightly on edge that they might have got it wrong. Petracca went pretty hard too The best score Vic/Tas could have put in this round was 1896, with the players highlighted in green the ones who are not in the official squad For the Others, only 8 players going around, with Ziebell stinking it up, and the rest a bit middle of the road... but with three rounds to go there is a lot of opportunity to turn that around The best possible score for The Others in Round 1 is a very healthy 1848, with Caleb Daniel maybe one that got away at the selection table
Well @chris88 Shai Bolton answered your call for Vic/Tas this week up forward... and Rory Laird took @anthak's spray to heart and pumped out a 156... Vic/Tas on 1806 halfway through But what a story about what could have been. Tex telling Ant to get stuffed being the standout Meanwhile The Others trundle along... but desperately need a lift from Clarrie Oliver and Josh Kelly this weekend 1478 banked, a massive 328 points behind There best of would match it with Vic/Tas at halfway though, only a hundred or so behind
After round 3 it is tightening up, but not as much as the selectors sphincters for The Others. Clarrie Oliver has one shot to make hay, or else he may cost them the win. Josh Kelly told me to well and truly get stuffed Ollie Robinson style however Vic/Tas on a massive 1986, against The Others 1742 Best of's for both sides have Vic/Tas on 2192 vs The Others on 2077, but with only 4 Vic/Tas players out of the 15 being ones not selected, we feel we have done a great job picking the squad and are busy patting ourselves on the back The Others selectors have had a mare, getting more wrong than right, hopefully it course corrects in this final round, as despite them being on the opposition, I actually don't mind them as people.
The Others slectors have had a mare, getting more wrong than right, hopefully it course corrects in this final round, as despite them being on the opposition, I actually don't mind them as people. Hahahahahaha touche bandit !! Question: Oliver has now been ruled out this weekend, do we just get a zero or put someone else up for a one round best of score ?
In the spirit of competition, happy for you to roll the dice on a one time wonder, this isn't NSW vs Queensland NRL after all where the better state just dominates every year
Struggling to figure out who is an option here......Saad into DEF and move Dawson to MIDS or Mitchito Owens into FWD and move Dunks to Mid or Will Powell into DEF and Dawson into MIDS. Actually could do Sinclair into DEF and Dawson into MIDS? Sinc is unused I think right ? @graeme help pls ?
@snoz : A reliable approach would be replace Clarry with T Mitchell (last three games 102, 132, 127). Alternatively, and slightly more risky (and I am not sure we need to be too risky) bring Nik Martin (last three games 120, 129, 139) in for Clarry.
............and this is why I asked you for help, it was way to complex for this small brain. Vote one: Titch replaces Oliver, one week wonder. Thanks mate, over to the "other" coaches for their thoughts.
Thanks for compiling all of this. Looking great for Vic/Tas! However we're not as good as this: I think there were 8 players we didnt pick who are in the current best XV.
