There are some deadline days I feel like I'm not driving that truck with bald tyres, but just riding in it. Meanwhile I have $520K in the bank in SC after double trade down this week. Can I cash that in for real money anywhere?
Give people a bit of time to read the post and object if they want Andy. (I can't see why anyone would, but...) If all is well then one of you will need to go in as ORFFA_Admin and change the players around in your team and Chris's so you can then select them on the other page.
Given that there's been no objection, and we're in the midst of nursing a sick kid, I'll make the swap.
Andy - I've sent you a note. Changes have been made - you should now have Cross among the people you can choose for the midfield, but you'll have lost Walker. I can't alter your team though in terms of yuour line-up for this week's game - you'll have to do that yourself. Thnaks mate -
While I don't begrudge the trade above, can I just clarify something? The ORFFL rules for trading are that trades occur during nominated trade periods and that trades require the majority approval of the other coaches. Are we following those guidelines or going with our own? Cheers J
Jolcon - I see what you're saying and have attempted to use a bit of common sense to modify that for today. In short - yes, but we can change things if we don't like the way they are doing things. We are only bound by their rules if we want to be and their circumstances were a lot less rushed than ours. Given the difficulties inherent in getting 9 coaches to agree before lock out I thought a bit unreasonable given the end of the draft was only a day or so ago as there would then be pretty much zero chance of anyone getting a draft through before lock out (end of pre-season trade period). Thus I made the stipulation that no objections be made as a balance between fairness and wanting to allow people to trade if they want to, as why would we want to obstruct two coaches trying to fill needs within their teams in what is a legitimate trade period. I actually don't see why other coaches should be able to veto a trade that others want to make myself, this is probably something we should discuss before the mid year trading period.
Fitzy would trade Justin Westoff or Aaron Edwards for Scotland. Have a full team so trying to do you a favour!
Sorry Andy, Scotland to good for those two I reckon. Thanks for the offer though. Also I do have a full team, just struggling with the 4th forward. Matt Bate being sub tonight doesnt help.
Chels has a bridge for sale too, if you're interested Andy. <img src="http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTgmaR8R7Pu3PnYCKe2sJIMbuJHKCFcdEGTU5cvqAFMrUbyRj47YA" />
X the reasoning behind the vetoes is it prevents collusion, also hence the majority vote. In a keeper league if someone were to lose interest it might be possible for other coaches to convince them to trade away their best players for squat and then ditch their team altogether, which would screw over anyone taking over that team (or mean no-one wants to take it over) and be an unfair advantage to the teams receiving the good players. Long term thinking.
Sorry Andy/Chels, really looking for a consistent quality player for Scotland he was my second pick, but am probably asking for to much. Sorry.
