Sorry guys for stepping on your turf, just trying to work out what the hell is going on with the ORFFA but it's all cleared up now.

Quote from Hornsy on May 29, 2012, 09:24 Please don't lie about the ORFFL.
H, perhaps I should have said 'this is how I understood it as it was explained to me by an ORFFL coach as to the problem that they were trying to avoid when framing this rule'. This also seems logical as why should other coaches be able to veto perfectly legitimate trades? No falsehood intended. In future you might explain what you are annoyed about (even contribute by explaining what you see the rule as being there for) rather than flinging accusations.
OK, so as soon as lockout of ROund 10 finishes, agreed trades can be put up for approval. Love this keeper league, much more interactive than some others I have been in.

Quote from Lucas on May 31, 2012, 12:10 Why are you sniffing around the ORFFL bama
Very good question Lucas, and worth following to its logical conclusion I would imagine. Not being an expert in tanking, bama has no good reason to be in there. Some time spent on the rack might reveal a few answers. .

Quote from anthak on June 4, 2012, 02:49 Can we trade future draft picks?
I would like to know that as well.
The list managers from the Mount Beauty Uglies and the Charlie's Opening Spelunkers would like to put the following trade up for approval. From Mount Beauty: Sam Reid (Swans) Stephen Hill From Charlies Opening: Cyril Rioli Tom Sheridan As I understand it, the clock starts from now for 48 hours for people to veto the deal by responding to this thread, otherwise the trade will proceed on Wednesday. Players are currently in discussions with their managers around salary deals and player incentives

Quote from Philosoraptor on June 6, 2012, 09:32 I cant see a problem with including draft picks in trades.
Me either, Hornsy set out a comprehensive set of guidelines for the ORFFL which we could do worse than adopt, they made sense to me. I think the belief from most is that whilst we are not tied to their rules and regulations we have used them as a basis to move from. Hopefully Xeno can stop cracking rocks long enough to ratify those, or amend to suit..
OK - have read through the ORFFL post etc and it looks like it makes sense to me. You can trade draft picks, 48 hour 8 person veto etc. All good. Put things on the trading block for now and later today or tomorrow I'll put up a main page post for it. Given that we are playing reduced sides through the byes, things will be a touch different. Trades can't take place during a round. So a trade must be finalised before the start of the round or it doesn't go through until the start of the next round. i.e. really, given that 48 hours must be given for veto, you would need to have a trade proposed by 19:40 TONIGHT for that to go through by the start of next round. Otherwise the player swap won't take place until next week. All trades need to be proposed at the latest by 19:40 on Friday 15th as this then gives 48 hours veto time before the start of rnd 13, which will be mid year draft. Is the trade between Mount Beauty and Charlie's Opening now confirmed? Can these players be used this week in there new teams?
Sorry, have been away for a few days ill. If there's anyone interested in guys on my team, or any trade proposals they wish to make, send them through now I'm back on deck. Just wondering if anyone can enlighten me as to when we need to delist players, nominate for draft participation by...
