Noahs now at 12/1147 (+eski/prestia/howe) vs Swampies 12/1089 (+ducky/bartel/bont) Still anyone's crown here @TheTassieHawk
Update from Heard Island Useless Loop @jamabadar - 483 from 6 Heard Island - 922 from 11. Heard Island up by 439 - The virgins are getting shagged, but theres still a long way to go. both teams averaging about the same per player so far.
Turns out the Avengers and Mole Creek are having a mid season tank off.. Mole Creek 13/839 (65) with Smith the only one to raise the bat Avengers 9/631 (70) with Betts the only centurion. Mole Creek with Ablett and a pair of Cripps to come vs the Avengers with Curnow, Murphy, Thomas, Treloar, Boyd and Hunter to come.
Either mole creek are playing 16 this week or Len must be feeling the effectsbof a big Saturday night
@That KI Guy The 29ers will need 3 big performances today and a quiet match from Jezza Howe to set the Noahs' gold coast boys 200 or so to chase
Seriously need an export button in game day, my C&P skills are not elite... Mole Creek actually 12/808 at 67 making it even closer
It's only tanking of you lose on purpose! Sadly there is only one or two missing from the Glow Worms best squad!
Although the boozers started well with tommy Mitchell, that's where it ended. Down 150 with 3 players vs 2 to come
Deja Vu... Fugitives lose another tight game Butchers 1323 Fugitives 1298 Season just about done n dusted
10 straight to the Noahs, with official scores giving them a deserved win 1431-1358, with the defeat Black Swamp slip to 6-4 and likely replaced by Cockburn or Jan Juc in the top 4. a more detailed report is now at http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/black-swamp-29ers-team-thread.89097/ @That KI Guy - well played, hopefully you keep up the good form the next 2 weeks as wins over Cockburn and Jan Juc would see you quickly adopted as the "second team" of hardcore 29ers fans who have faltering hopes of making the top 4.
Mole Creek board the plane a little worse for wear today, last nights celebrations carried on well into the early hours of this morning after another shock win over hosts @Len and the Avengers. Gary Ablett returned from injury in a big way, scoring 143 points and leading the Glow Worms to victory. Despite holding Avengers key movers Heath Shaw and Callan Ward well, the turning point was the injury to Marc Murphy. A 22 point win to the Glow Worms sees them a game clear in 5th despite the 2nd lowest points for in the league. Despite the fairytale run, management are a little upset as they had planned on high picks at MSD this season.
Round 10 ORFFF action saw the Neptune Island-10 in a row still undefeated and will probably stay so forever-Juggernauts (@That KI Guy) defeat 4th placed Black Swamp in this week's highest scoring ORFFF match (and 5th highest all time), while Drouin (@stowie) dispatched the Boozers (@leematty1) to keep up the pace in 2nd spot. The Noahs can now officially plan for August action having clinched a top in the spot 8 due to a number of the 5-5 teams having matches against each other in the remaining 5 rounds or ORFFF competition. The perpetually lucky Mole Creek (@ViQBoZ) scored under 1150 but somehow managed yet another low scoring victory to defeat Cockburn (@Len) and jump back to 5th at the expense of their Rd10 victims and Jan Juc (@thokash) who were defeated by 3rd placed Chinchilla (@choppers). The Power from Port Lincoln way (@MrsBear) jumped to 11th spot with their 2nd consecutive win after defeating Walpole (@Port_Leneschault), while Wedge Island (@Bearfly)and Rutherglen (@tyze1) were defeated by Maralinga (@DamoH) and Dingo Beach (@insider) respectively. Dingo Beach's victory maintained a quirky pattern that has seen Rivalry Round opponents Dingo Beach and Cockburn have opposite results through all 10 rounds of this season's ORFFF competition, if this continues for another 2 weeks I for one will be proposing the midseason addition of an addition ORFFF rule 1(g) - "One of Dingo Beach or Cockburn will win each week in the home and away ORFFF season. The other will lose". In the final and tightest match in ORFFF history a 60 metre spiral torpedo into the wind goal after the siren from man of the match Josh J Kennedy saw Useless Loop (@jamabadar) celebrating as only Virgins can - dry humping each other vigorously - as they defeated the gallant Shags (@anthak) at Tri-Pot Beach Oval. The win sees Useless Loop in the middle of a 5 team logjam with 6th-10th tied at 5 wins and 5 losses. The next 2 weeks may start to sort out the pretenders from the contenders in terms of finals chances but also see the ORFF integrity unit headed by Steven Dank taking a firm look at ORFFF coaches who adopt a Freo Dockers style "we are not tanking" strategy in an attempt to sure up their chances of a top 6 pick in the upcoming MSD.
