Score check from Black Swamp The home side leads 732/10 to Drouin (@stowie) 482/6 but the visitors will be kicking to the scoring end in the final stanza and barring a disaster will be chalking up their 2nd straight win on Sunday evening. edit - with A Walker a late withdrawal, Cutler comes in and takes the Swamp to 801/11
The boozers have bounced back strong against the glow worms. Initial calls have a comfortable win 1287-1092. Thanks to a nice bombers win with three tonnes from there as well as the constistent Mitchell's. Rockys injury with lobbe and rischitelli all spudding but a couple of tonnes on the bench prove some handy replacements in the wings.
Well done to the Butchers. Gibson was far too good down back for you. Didnt give us a chance to get into a rythm and then Fasolo dominated for you up forward. For the Shags, Fyfe battled hard, but overall there were too many down on expected form.
1373 not a bad score, not unhappy, but @Bearfly mob a little more consistent and take home the points in a 55 pt win
Match Report - Rutherglen Fugitives v Port Lincoln Power 2 teams with contrasting round 1 results were pitted against each other in round 2. The Power was looking to continue its winning ways after a strong first up win against Jan Juc, whilst the Fugitives were desperate to atone for a very poor first hitout in the FF following a narrow loss to Heard Island. In a tight match the Fugitives accounted for the Power by 47 points 1321 to 1274. In a quirky match fact T Lynch of PLP and T Lynch of RGF both top scored with 129 points, something I doubt the FF will see again. Ziebell (127) continued his hot start to the year for the Power while Daniel Wells (121) is fit and firing and a true bargain basement pick for the Fugitives drafted in round 26. Darcy Parish kicked the sealer and the Fugitives look forward to a long and prosperous career for the first year player. Next week sees the Fugitives hit the road for the first time travelling to Useless Loop, whilst the Power continue their road trip up to Dingo Beach, in two games they look to be pivotal come finals time.
Mole Creeks lack of top end talent really hurt this round. A predominantly young squad underwhelmed their way to 1092, Kents 13 a lowlight whilst top picks Ablett, Cripps and Martin performed well with the rest of the list likely to see a bit of hard training this week ahead of our first home game ever.
ROUND 2 Full time at The Showgrounds sees Chinchilla 1440 def Maralinga 1209. The Chumps midfield (403) and forward line (466) were far too strong for the visiting Atoms who must now regroup ahead of their 2nd game on the road, this time taking on fellow bottom 4 side Mole Creek, whille the Chumps make their first trip away from The Showgrounds to take on the Heard Island Shags. BOG 3. Zorko CCC 148 2. Adams CCC 135 1. Martin MLA 134
Sounds like a pretty even match-up against the missus @MrsBear there mate. Just looked at her selected team, had she got her selections right she would've knocked you off by 40 with 87 points wasted!!! Think we should all be a little wary of her if she manages to get her on-field selections right!!!
Should've been an even bigger win by the mighty Pointers mate, Hogan imitating a with 51 while Toby racked up a solid 120 in the magoos
So Fyfe played a lone hand for both Freo and the Shags mate - must be some damn strong shoulders holding up both clubs
See you one and raise you one, Ibbo with TWENTY BLOODY THREE, and Hunter on the bench with 119.. Team not doing awesome but the selection committee clearly drink
Happy to escape with a close win at the Black Swamp. @choppers advice of kicking downhill proved a difference. Also happy with the aggression from big Mummy, just wish he picked someone from the other team to knock into next week!
