ORFFF 2017 Preseason delistments Thread

If everyone can update their own lists to reflect players in and out during trade period as well as delistings it would make things much easier on everyone.
We don't want to have player double ups prior to the draft do we

I have just adjusted both mine and Port Lincoln's - if anyone can't do it then quickly send me a PM with the players you need added and omitted from your squad and I will do it as soon as I can.
But if it's after 6.30pm then I won't get to it until tomorrow most likely because I will be watching both the Saints v Port game and the NBL semi final decider between the Mighty 36er's and Illawarra

those figures include Danyle Pearce (HI) and DBJ and Lycett (Walpole) who were traded out in the recent trade period.

I am sure all 3 will be on time but in a worst case scenario on last year's averages forced delists would be

Heard Island - Casboult, Thurlow and Lonie (letting Carlisle and Swallow have their 2015 averages, Thurlow would be replaced by Hallahan in getting chopped if the same was applied to him)
WPW - Jacobs, Z Jones, McCartin, Witts, C McCarthy, Broomhead (letting TBC and Longer have their 2015 averages)

 

Just leaving mine to the last minute, but thanks for the reminder.

Thank you for your services. Squad should be updated on the TSLeagues. Agree with Len, 16 people editing is likely to cause mistakes. How do you know if there hasn't been already if no one has a master list/spreadsheet.

 

Black Swamp bid farewell to Dane Swan, James Bartel, Adam Cooney, Andrew Walker and Chris Yarran (all retired).

In addition Black Swamp farewells inaugural squad members Jordan Murdoch and Colin Garland who failed to make the 29ers 24 man squad.

Garrick Ibbotson was traded in from Cockburn less than a week ago but also failed to make the cut, with the list management committee preferring to keep Zac Clarke in the squad despite injury complications than provide a spot on our list to a Cockburn reject.

I'm glad I didnt trade Clay Smith, Lin Jong or Josh Wagner because I had miscalculated anyway and I dont need to delist any of them
I received offers for Jong and Wagner, but declined because I thought Id take the chance that I could redraft them.... no need in the end.

@ViQBoZ has been all over this ever since we started. He has been keeping track of trades and lists etc.
We've always expected everyone to keep their own squads up to date in tsLeagues - I think ORFFL is the only ORFF league out of the 4 that has one person go through and do them all. Everyone looks after their own in the other 3 leagues. I personally think its good for each coach to have that ownership over that task, it is their team afterall, and it spreads the load. @ViQBoZ checks it anyway, but thats easier than actually doing it all.

 

As I said to TTH, it's a good theory, but every draft in the FA I go in and fix squads, every single draft

 

yeah i know, but thats still easier than doing it all. Viqboz has got it under control here too, just like you do at the ORFFA. I dont see what the big deal is

 

Clearly there mustn't be one.
My concern was that there is no central list of available players posted, nor talk of there being one.
If one is about to be provided great, all I've asked is that someone advise if that was going to happen, instead I've been directed to the tsleagues list, as noted that didn't feel adequate.

 

@Len - then buy a big, fast, shiny red sports car, i have heard that helps a lot
