The Fugitives have started to reel in the Avengers as Cockburn begins to run out of steam - can they last?

Drop Bears slightly ahead of Macquarie Island with Howlett & Walters left to play for the drop bears & Josh P Kennedy, Zorko, Grundy & Leuy to play for the whales. Looks like we are in for another close one!

    Drop Bears 1037 / 13 / 80
    Macquarie Island 901 / 11 / 82

looks like you will get in the 1250-1300 range which will win you plenty of matches, but just one of those weeks when you need a lot to go wrong for the other team to make it a tight contest, still plenty of footy left to play

    The Noah's are on 815/11 74.1 to the Virgin's on 667/9 74.1

It's a tight contest, it's anyone's game at the moment!

Hurleys 117 helped but birchalls 7 instead of hamlings nicer score and essendons terrible second half has stopped that in our tracks.

Boozers win approx 1400-1275 over the power

I have this one as going the way of the home side by unofficial scores of 1271-1038 @Dale Duivesteyn, with an oop ruck and JOM donut to the Bucks blowing the margin out late in the piece.

@stowie Based on my calculations it looks like the Drop Bears have come home strong to win in a nail-biter 1239 to 1236 over the Whales.

In a low scoring affair the Noah's finish up on 1,119 whist the Virgin's grab a win on 1,187

Positions 1-8 and 9-16 on the ORFF ladder were shuffled considerably but there were no changes to the top 8 after round 7, while Neptune Island's ORFF record unbeaten streak was broken at 11 - a massive shout out to @That KI Guy for extending his own mark this season - as predicted by 2 out of 10 voters in the Round 6 thread poll.

Rutherglen @tyze1 went top defeating 13th placed Cockburn @Len by 202 points, while Neptune Island @That KI Guy scored their lowest ever score in succumbing to the Virgins from Useless Loop @YAD69 by 68 points, with Useless Loop completing the front runners ahead of the field at 6-1. Mt Thirsty @leematty1 sit on 5-2 following a 139 point victory over the unlucky Port Lincoln @MrsBear who managed the 5th highest score of the week.

Walpole @port_leschenault made light work of Jan Juc @thokash, winning by a club record 177 points to jump into 5th spot on 4-3 ahead of their beaten opponent who also recorded their lowest ever ORFFF score, with Mac Island @Darran and Nangkita @Dale Duivesteyn despite also being 4-3 are looking vulnerable in 7th and 8th after losing in contrasting style to Drouin @stowie and Black Swamp by 3 and 234 points respectively to now sit a game ahead of that pair of teams. The Bucks score of 1033 was only 3 points higher than their lowest ever ORFFF score, while the Whales are now 0-3 against last year's minor premier.

Heard Island @anthak and Maralinga @BrettSanders also sit at 3-4 after a Jarrod Waite inspired Atoms surged to a 114 point win and closing the points scored gap between the teams to double figures, while in the weeks final match the White Pointers @Bearfly defeated the Glow-Worms @ViQBoZ by 52 points in a match of historically bad quality - winning (#2 all time lowest), losing (#8 lowest) and aggregate score wise (#3 lowest) - to move up a spot to 14th position at 2-5 and trailing the Avengers who also sit on 2-5 by a hefty points scored margin.

Port Lincoln sit 15th on 1-6 ahead of the winless and 16th ranked Taswegians.

In the ORFF* knockout comp Rutherglen had their way with Neptune Island to make the Grand Final next week against Nuytsland from the ORFFU who were too strong for Jan Juc.
