@anthak Sorry I have mucked up one date, trade period should be a week longer, ending the Tuesday 7th. The correct date then leaving 24 hours for final delists, if you could amend when you have a moment please!
I am reading the dates as giving us 4 days or so for the whole draft? And trading through till round 2.

Mmm, it would’ve been good if more people gave feedback on TTH’s options of dates. I would’ve preferred a round 1 start to our season, but I didn’t speak up about it, so can’t complain really.
Why are we going with round 2 start instead of round 1 when there was only 1 coach that posted for round 2 start?
Given there wasn’t much buy-in on TTHs proposed options (only 3 gave feedback, not enough to identify a league consensus), the board discussed and made a decision. Hats off to @TheTassieHawk for pulling it all together and giving us a way forward.
I don’t think anyone has discussed it yet @anthak Hopefully before any post or pre season trading goes ahead we have someone willing step up as the ORFFF trade and draft pick coordinator to replace the departed @James84 - it was mentioned a while ago and is a key role

You would hopefully be familiar that the AFL has trade and delist fortnight after the Grand Final then the draft in November (ish) Likewise the ORFFF has 3 weeks when teams barter and haggle before trading draft picks and players with this window ending 28th February allowing for review of training reports and a fair portion of the pre-season games throughout the window. The PSD is the draft itself, minimum of 96 selections (6 per team). Post the draft there is a short trade window. Trading is not mandatory however right now or hopefully by mid February you may be getting familiar with your current 30, checking who has been delisted or retired or had a SC position change and sizing up the remainder as untouchable, tradeable for the right price and the "spuds" who are available for a packet of chips. Please keep in mind that you will need to confirm 2024 SC position for your players as the database has not yet been rolled over and is showing 2023 positions. We will let everyone know when this changes.
the ORFFF board wishes to advise the following regarding the midseason trade and draft period pre-draft trade period start - 9pm Melb time on 28 May 2024 pre-draft trade period end - 9pm Melb time on 16 June 2024 midseason delists due 10pm Melb time on 16 June 2024 (delists can occur from 28 May onward) midseason draft to commence at 6pm Melbourne time on 18 June 2024 (draft order based on reverse ladder order as at AFL Round 13) The ORFFF midseason trade period reopens when the draft finishes and then runs until 10pm Melb time on 26 June 2024.
