We got through 14/15 picks in less than 5 hours today. Was good going in the end :)

Just a note on the discussion around forcing picks, with the last pick taken at 8:15 last night were we to only change the hours back to 12 we would now have our second forced pick.

So shall we draw a line in the sand and start going with this practice?

    Good pickup.
Imo, we should all be trying to take our picks as soon as practicable after it becomes our turn, and the cutoff is only a backup in case of emergency etc so that the draft can keep moving in any person's absence. I think 12 hours is more than enough, and there have not been many picks at all in this draft that have been longer than that.

It would be grossly unfair to change it on the fly, could easily catch people out who weren't aware. I was more commenting in line with ant and PL's comments around fixing it for the next draft tbh.
My personal opinion is that rules are vastly less important than eager participation, co-operation and consideration of others, in the FA we have an 18 hour rule that hasn't been used since it was put in 3 or 4 years ago when X did his Harold Holt trick.

that's all good and well when, like you said, there is consideration of others and cooperation. but I'm not sure some levels of consideration match the majority.
But anyway, we soldier on and hope for a unicorn - to be able to take 4 picks in one day... that's the dream

I agree we have predictable speed humps and fast lanes.

I thought that was rather direct and obvious. I can use that pot and kettle more directly if you so wish, but don't think I could be any plainer.

Here's a task for you if you're bored and yearning for unicorns. How about you go find out every day of the draft where we managed more than 4 picks/day. Shouldn't be a challenge.

Coaches, I'd suggest we're moving along pretty darn well - with double digit picks remaining beckoning

From this byplay I see a rivalry born!

Cant believe he lasted this long, been at the top of my list for the last 3 rounds, but I've been conscious of trying to avoid drafting too many Misfits and kept seeking a different option.

I bet you could ruin a rainbow. I was having a conversation, admittedly public, with Len and Ant about speed of picks. Add something constructive and relevant if you've got it, don't just sit in the cheap seats and take pot shots. Look at Tyze's comment above - he disagrees and thinks the speed has been great and says as much. Nothing apathetic, negative or gloomy there! Well played Tyze!
Just be positive mate. Lifes really not that bad. If you don't agree with someone, that's ok! Try not being so negative when you don't share the same view. Diversity is a great thing. Embrace it

For those complaining about a few small delays in the draft, what's the bloody rush?
We will be well and truly finished long before the first NAB games, which I am a little disappointed with tbh because I would've liked to at least had the opportunity to see a few prospects have a run before deciding if they would make the cut with my final few picks!!!

Also, the delay last night was unforseen and unfortunately unavoidable - the missus is pretty crook and actually was in bed by 5pm yesterday and didn't even feel like anything to eat. I had to actually take her vital epilepsy medication in to her at 7.30 last night and again at 9.30 last night and even had to do it again at 8.30 this morning because she would've missed them if I didn't because of how unwell she is feeling.
I did not feel it was right to disturb her for something as trivial as a draft pick when she isn't feeling very flash because quite frankly a delay of 12 to 18 hours at this stage isn't going to affect us finishing well before we need to.

People need to be a little more considerate of others - FYI, illness affects people who have epilepsy alot differently than it does anyone else - and on top of this, she also takes new trial tablets every evening between 8.30 and 9.30pm that have a few side effects including drowsiness, so she isn't at her best after taking those tablets.
So a little consideration for others instead of banging on with claims that the draft is being held up - what's your rush!!!
