Please note that a poll has been added for Fixture Options for 2026 ORFFF season, ending on February 11.
    • Option 1 – 15 home and away plus 3 finals (18 weeks) – miss OR, 2,3,12,14,15,16
    • Option 2 – 14 home and away plus 4 finals (18 weeks) – miss OR, 2,3,12,14,15,16 – the fixtures we miss is the double fixture from 2024 (ie the final week of 2024 home and away)
    • Option 3 – use topups to play some or all of the 4 team bye weeks – resulting in either a 16 or 19 home and away plus 4 finals (20/23 weeks)
Please note that option 3 will see the pre-PSD trade period start at State of Origin (Feb 14) and run until February 25 and the PSD start on March 1 while options 1 and 2 will see the pre-PSD trade period start on February 16 and run until February 28 and the PSD start on March 4 allowing post draft trading to run until the end of round 3.

Man didn't realise just how badly the stupid AFL fixture is going to affect our little old TS leagues. My team isn't the most competitive so might not be the most relevant opinion, but with Rd4 and Rd13 also having byes and being essential play weeks could prove problematic for some teams, so not opposed to having slightly larger squads as the answer.

Not sure if we need the extra H&A games though what's the thinking behind that? I mean it does offer more interest and activity during the bye rounds so I guess that's never a bad thing, but probably introduced a 'fariness' debate on the fixturing?

What if we consider a similar style wildcard finals round or will that just be a waste of a week do we think?

We have previously played through 2 team bye weeks without topups.

I won't add another option or enter a "fairness" discussion at this stage but if option 3 gets up to provide top-ups for 2 and 4 team bye weeks then options may be 15+5or 16+4 (playing rds 2 and 3) or 18+5 or 19+4 (playing 2,3 and 3 of the 4 mid bye rounds) to be worked out later in the lead up to our Round 1.

    I voted option 1.
I personally think our strong preference should be to play each other team once and only once each during our regular season. We should do what it takes to make that work, ie 15 rounds for our 16 team league

All 16 coaches are back, the pre-season trade period is proposed to open at the start of the Cats vs Hawks match sim on February 16, the draft pick tracking thread lists the current 2026 pick order for those looking to be active in the window.

Just curious to see, but are others having issues that the TooSerious site just doesn't work lately?

I've always had issues, but it seems to have gotten unusable now, pages never load or refresh or take 20 times trying before they load. And I have been trying on the work computer, and two diff phones but always the same.
