ORFFL 2015 R17: The Finals Countdown

Wellity, wellity, well. Another ORFFL regular season is almost over and just the one position in the final 8 is yet to be decided going into the last round. That of 8th. Milikapati hold the position for the moment, but amazingly only 4 total points separates them from 9th placed Warburton. Glenrowan has more points than both of the above, however they sit a game behind on 7 wins and facing the Dangerfield led Smiths Beach this weekend. With Beams out they may have given up the ghost already.

It is mathematically possible that either Bundalong or Popanyinning could make the finals, yet given they'd Milikapati and Warburton to lose while making up 500-1200 points in a single round. So not technically impossible just highly unlikely. #believe

A note to Bundalong though; it is possible to play players Out Of Position - say a MID in a DEF slot, in case you were unawares. They get half their score is all.

And a note on the finals, let's make it 1-3 choose their opponents by Monday night.

  I sent a text to the chief and H @ around 7pm SA time last night asking to swap Hartung and Heeney around, but didn't get any reply from either so am asuming the text didn't go through because the chief usually responds to my texts (have been having a fair bit of trouble with mobile reception recently due to work being done on the towers around here).
  So if the text didnt go through to either of them I'll just cop it on the chin and put up with Hartung's sub affected score - at least Jasper, Hoff, Krak and the Chad done well for me
  Sarge could've been better, but seems to be fairly down on confidence and could've easily kicked 6 if he held on to a few more marks

  Oh wow, 8 points. Is it too late to enforce the Hartung rule? Well played Bear. One reason I chose the Couldabeens was they hadn't scored above 1300 since Round 5. Pretty sure you had your highest score for the year in fact!
  
  Hurts even more since if I picked SBS I would have knocked them off by an even slimmer 6 points. ORFFL Finals are certainly an exciting time.
  
  Can anyone stop SAR though? 1539 even missing a few key players, boy oh boy wowee!

  The Seagulls dodged a few bullets there. I was initially pretty concerned going up against MBD, but thanks to a couple of unlikely heroes in Tuohy and Cunningham we survive another week. Looking forward to the hopeful return of Buddy to take on HDH next week.
