Ok, can't go past a kid that can win his own ball- even if he will struggle to get a game this year.

At this rate Easter really will come before we finish this draft if we continue at the rate of 1-2 picks a day.

      What's the point, guys?

Agreed, something has to change. Could we perhaps aim to do it all in one time slot - someone run a doodle poll and we select a time slot everyone can attend, or at least the majority can. We seem to successfully be able to do it the NFL fantasy drafts, I don't see why we can't do it here. The kicker is, you don't have to turn up, but you get auto-draft, which I am sure the creative minds in this competition could fairly come up with to ensure we don't get any poorly constructed teams. And if you don't want an auto-draft team, the onus is on you to make yourself available for one or 2 nights a year to do a fantasy football draft, which is a pretty minimal commitment IMO.

      My suggestions:

      1. More auto-drafting.
      2. Time limit of 12 hours rather than 24.

We simply don't have enough time to allow everyone 24 hours grace for each pick.
If you cannot check in twice a day, send someone a list or expect to get an auto-pick.

Who is the next autopick anyway... we need 5 picks a day from here.

There already is minimal commitment in this league. You can set your team once pre Round 1 and basically don't even have to show up again to do anything until the next year come delistments. All it requires is a few weeks attention come draft time and we're failing that.

I realise we may all be busy and it's not 2012 anymore but if we want this league to continue, we've got to have more activity from the 18 coaches (16 now?) atm.

Like Johnson and Jason have said, we are likely going to have to change something in the immediate future if we want to get done before round 1 this year.

Agreed here, given I have 3 of the last 6 picks I would appreciate a full squad before Round 1.

Maybe we can go with a 12 hour pick limit but a blackout between 12am-6am or something? That may still progress the draft too slowly.

I may be wrong, but I recall Lucas never being able to pick during the day. Are we resigned to the autopick?

I think the autopick is Waite, a little ironic given HDH were the ones who delisted him.

I officially have one name left on my shortlist but I should still be able to pick within an hour or two of when it gets to me.

Yep, this is bullshit, coaches need to commit or not. The draft happens twice a year, not a major time commitment really. Life happens, but this has gone on consistently over a number of drafts. Compared to the other ORFF comps we are by far the least active despite being the original.

I believe it is Jarrad Waite.
