I'm sorry, I got past the pick itself- but I'm 12.

      heh heh heh, bonner.

Yeah Bonner looked alright to begin with, but after holding him till the MSD last year and him showing no signs at all of getting a game any time soon he was released back into the wild.

Not his only poor decision this pre-season.
His only saving grace early could be Jasper's injury - but that also depends on if Broady is ready to play

Sorry, busy weekend, didnt think id be my pick again but alas it is...

      Pick 31 - Sam Gibson

Howard cert put up his hand too. Would be handy from a SC perspective.
Not convinced anyone is locked after yesty effort.

Sultan is pretty much a lock - need his willingness to get down and dirty and tackle in the middle - not getting much defensive effort from any of the mids apart from Ollie and SPP, - Boak has gone backwards, Hammer now HBF, Chad hasn't got a defensive bone in his body (all flashiness rather than down n dirty). Honestly don't like Ken's approach of giving Robbie less mid time and more fwd, and opposite for Chad - should be other way round, after all, Robbie is by far our best mid!!!
Clurey down back as a KPD is a fail, will never be any good in that role and they should utilise his pace and endurance better - Austin has proven he is a better KPD anyway.

I'll pick for H as I know who he wants, hopefully he doesn't get mad.

      Pick 32 - Clay Smith

      @Kel logs your pick please

      2017 PSD Review - Round 1:
P1 Andrew McGrath - Should play most games this year and slot nicely into the Poowong defense. Should do better than Billy Longer :spud: :p
P2 Hugh McCluggage - Another who will get plenty of games. Should maintain Fwd status for a few years but will likely end up as a straight mid. :thumbsu:
P3 Tim Taranto - Looks likely to slot into the strong GWS lineup which says a lot about where he is at. Woy Woy continue to add young talent and restructure the list.:thumbsu:
P4 Archie Smith - First surprise of the draft. Thought that Archie would go early but not quite this early. I guess when your ruck division consists only of Nathan Vardy it is very much picking for needs as much as anything. Have seen a few coaches burnt when going early on unproven ruckman, however as a Lions man I hope that Archie can make the grade. Big year for him.
P5 Jack Bowes - No arguments here, by all reports will be a gun.
P6 Will Brodie - Competitive beast who leaves nothing on the park. Will slot nicely into a young BDB midfield. Lack of DPP reduces value slightly which is probably why others were taken earlier.
P7 Ben Ainsworth - 3 in a row from the Suns and another hard at it beast. Jimcumbilly will be happy to get him here. Likely to keep Fwd status for the medium term as well.
P8 Oliver Florent - After Ainsworth the draft opens up. Florent might struggle to get a game early however looks promising as a long term option.
P9 Will Setterfield - GWS Academy prospect who will have to fight his way into the team. Likely to be at Carlton in a few years.;)
P10 Sam Menegola - Finished off last year strongly. Needs to step up and fill the void behind Selwood and Danger. If he can do that will be a good selection here.
P11 Jarred Waite - Auto pick sees Potential back to his spiritual home in Humpty Doo.
P12 Sam Petrevski Seton - Elite user of the ball but will he get enough of it. Should get plenty of opportunity at the Blues.
P13 Tim English - Mobile big man who will likely take some time but looks like he could be anything. Was top of my wish list at P15 but he didn't quite make it. :(
P14 Koby Stevens - H's preference for proven performance comes through again. Savages will be hoping greater opportunities at the Saints will allow Koby to take the next step.
P15 Jack Scrimshaw - Needs based selection adding another young defender.
P16 Jordan Galluci - Likely type who will be looking to crack the Adelaide team this year.
P17 Harry Perryman - Natural footballer but where he fits into the GWS team this year remains to be seen. Long term selection.
P18 Sam Powell Pepper - Man child with an AFL ready body. Will play this year.

      Woop.

      Pick 35 - Shane Edwards
75+ consistent forward who plays mids in a team now with no Lids? Almost selected him first round after Stevens was taken.

      Pick 36 - Jared Polec
75+ midfielder who should get games which is important to get 15 on the park. Massive upgrade on Langford anyway. Run boy run!

All should be set to help the reigning premiers be the first team coached by a real person and not a zombie posing as a singer/actor to win back-to-back jars.

Let me first say tremendous effort. Hugely appreciative of your work, @Kel

However....is Humpty Doo truly Waite's spiritual home? Lest we forget how he lead the Savages to the inaugural ORFFL premiership and if not for a point or two, players would be competing for the Jarrad Waite Medal come Grand Final day.

Also, big thanks to @thokash for grabbing Clayton for me. Was my second choice at P14, over the moon he was still around in R2.
