Nice in for the glamas - A Bonar. Not guaranteed a game, but it would be quite comme il faut if his debut were against Len's Knightriders from Ivanhoe.
Another young bullfrog got blooded today... Brent Daniels who did a few nice things, can see him cementing a spot in the GWS lineup
Had to double check the results to make sure I was reading them correctly. That would have to be our first win over the Savages. Nice breakout game from former Savage Eric Hipwood getting us over the line.
Completely reshaped side this year, mostly due to injury, but if we had no injuries most likely that Taranto would have taken that role, with the role more mid fwd than fwd mid. Looks a good type, has plenty of competition so if he holds his spot he deserves it, one of the few areas where we haven't been belted by injuries.
Smash a better 1500+ score than previous one, and Savages got belted so clearly a good week. Now just to find a way to make my players do this every week...
And so continues the fact I can never beat Poowong. Tamarama skipping away at the top but the rest of the top 8 is a pretty close fight for the last few weeks!
Feel like I just pooed on somebody's carpet. Stone motherless last to temporary 4th. Sorry about that guys
With 3 rounds to go I'd say there's 10 teams all with a shout of getting into the finals to make the last 3 spots. 10 wins should confirm it, and 9 wins and points TB most likely decide it. Clearly TAB are the team to beat.
The glamas continue a fine tradition - started by the cows - of being the luckiest team in their TSleague; winning with low scores (last week 3rd lowest score) and having a lucky high score when the opposition have gone well (this week)*. Far from favourites port, far from it. Maybe after another couple of drafts, but not in 2018. Top work @TerryinBangkok, maybe our ORFFA group have a few clues, no? Share the reflected sunlight @Len, your time will come to shine. Edit - * notwithstanding 2 's JIM lost by just over 100 points
Next you're going to come out with such cliches as "We're taking it one week at a time" and "It was a team effort" or Team-who's-shortest-odds-to-win-claims-they're-the-real-underdogs. Did you enjoy the second edition of Paris Roubaix we got to see last night?
Porte going down makes it hard for me to stay up till 2 each morning now, hard to see Yates winning, Froome and Valverde look to have it between them now, though its early days and shit happens a hell of alot in that race I guess
The way the Pointers have been pointing recently, I don't think we deserve to make it. Would be nice to though!
Continues my luck in this TS league, rocketing along with my highest score and then Grundy and Jacobs pull out at the last minute. Didn't have anyone to replace them so wouldn't have made a difference if they weren't named on Thursday night but fcuk me it seems to make the loss worse when they pull out at the last moment.
Exactly the point I was trying to make bgt2110. They play - you win. Simple as that. But port wants to avert attention from his mob's prospects by labelling the glams as favourites!
Enjoyed Paris Roubaix Mark 2 for sure port. Record each stage and watch them on gast forward over breakfast, nearly choked on my porridge seeing Richie on the side of the road. Thats out on stage 9 in consecutive years - poor guy cannot take a trick. Froome yes @Len but not sure about Valverde. Roglic could be the dark horse and Doumolin's presence may keep a few nervous.
Quintana and Nibali will likely be the next best climbers after Froome. Glad it's finally getting to mountains. Glamas belting out a 1400+ and two game buffer. If it was The Notorious S.O.M he'd be claiming the jar now. My mobs prospects rely on defenders actually playing and the Jareds/Jarryds continuing their Brownlow form, so sure.
