I think we do lockout on the Friday game, and just have to suck the Monday game up.

Also, great opening by the Pointers. Good to see that we've come to play this season! Hope we can keep it up.

You most certainly nearly did. Went down to the last qtr of the last game wherein NicNat staged his triumphant, almost game-breaking return, JPK pulled his finger out of his arse and used it along with his other nine to gather in 50 odd points, while Newman and Ryan basically stopped scoring.

It's really a fine team you've put together @stripey , far superior in its depth than it's Merton predecessor. DEF line arguably the best in the league, MID line with Dusty, Cotchin and room for improvement with Miller and Graham, and the big ol' Nank replacing Maric in the RUC. Which is the biggest coaching/list management achievement of your reign, because as anyone who's had to replace a RUC knows...it's painful, very painful (and for those coaches who haven't had to, we are gripped by anxiety at the eventual prospect).

FWD line is still a bit suspect but Macpherson looks a good prospect - he was genuinely on my shortlist for about 4 rounds, but no I had to pick some guy from St Kilda who'll never play. Few more of those types in that position and Top6 and premiership contention beckons.

Personally, I just want to thank Nathan Buckley. Could not have done it without you mate. And all you ORFFL coaches wishing for my demise can pass on your messages to him.

It is rather weird being part of two keeper leagues in that I have already come up against a player (in this case Mitch Robinson) who I wanted to do well in ORFFA but not too well in ORFFL. Have you had similar thoughts Len? (I am unsure if anybody else plays more than one keeper.)

I completely silo the leagues mate, I didn't at first and found I was trying to draft for the Misfits when I didn't have the same base team, have since learned to completely segregate them. Without thought that then flowed through to opponents.
Have to be honest though, I don't track my opponents score 90% of the time, I treat it like a golf game where I am just trying to improve my score, it's not like I can influence what anyone else does :)

Is it just me or all the player of the year votes incorrect? we shouldn't have 20 points after 2 rounds?

Comrades, there's nothing to see here. The first round has not run itself 3 times for reasons unknown (Probably a recalc bug) and I will not need to fix it.

Arguably TMitch deserves the full 20 votes so I think we should leave it as is.

He should probably get all 6 Brownlow votes for that performance but you know he'll be lucky to get one.

If I never had to hear the phrase "holy trinity" again in a football context, it would be too soon.

The Couldas were very unlucky @Bearfly - the glamas are locked in a battle with the cows for the title of the luckiest team that ever had luck

Congrats on a nice, easy win TiB. A bit of revenge in the SC leagues. Best of three in ORFFA next week?
