Ok so according to what i put up for options now that Friday has passed the option that recieved the most votes was to have a final series. Looks like we missed the boat for final to start this round so i propose we start the final series this week with a final four . That gives us to prelim finals Prelim 1 - Bullfrogs v Gunslingers Prelim 2 - Magicians v Savages normally the top team chooses opponent in first round but that has passed and pretty sure stripey would have chosen gnslingers as opponent anyway. For draft positions we will use the ladder at end of round 15 Can at least two of the finalists reply to this and agree to this structure . Over to you guys now @stripey @thokash @HornsyFiveTime @Doobs
I’m ok with this. Preferred not to have a final in a bye week anyway. At the end of this weekend Mallacoota would be on top again points wise but happy to go with the majority
Unfortunately I don't think Hornsy or Doobs have been checking in for a while given their team selections, which is probably going to lead to a bit if a downer finals series. I'll abstain from a vote as well given my involvement, but technically I am the 2nd top 4 coach showing up if you wanted to proceed. Anyway I'll be around as usual still competing in the ORFFF as well, maybe me and stripey can just run a best of 3 championship match
All good that is the two check ins we needed . If anyone wants to they could give @HornsyFiveTime @Doobs a nudge /reminder to update their teams , (i will try H by email) but don't have details for doobs. So rest of this round is prep and next round will be the two prelims. You'd have to think we have a good chance of a new team winning a jar. Good luck 4 finalists
Hey peoples, this is my provisional lineup in case I don't make it back here before lockout begins anew. DEF: Simpson, Hurley, Tarrant, Williams EMG: Long MID: Boak, Mundy, JPK, ZMerrett EMG: Sloane RUC: NicNat EMG Lycett FWD: Wallis, JJK, Cripps, Baker EMG: Gibbons I/C: Steele, TMitch Sorry for my abcences. Been a rough year.
Two hammys this weekend already for the Bullfrogs (Lynch & Gov)... gonna be tough next week even if we get past the Savages
Touk Miller and Sam Collins need to play outside their skins to get the Bullfrogs over the line... is 240 points too much to ask???
I'm still not getting alerts for this thread/forum. It's really weird. Especially as I'm incredibly lazy when checking the site. Who made the Granny?
Looks like stripey just got over the line by 10 points, super close! Unfortunately Jason hasn't been watching his weight during lockdown and had a few too many doughnuts to put up a sustained fight. This year does feel a little bit hollow with only a few coaches around regularly, happy to be in the GF and hopefully can finally snag one after years of disappointment! (not to be confused with Disappointments, whoever they are)
Hey I don't want to be that guy...but I feel like with the team I posted on Wednesday night ^^^ there I scored 1333 which is enough to beat @stripey and his beautiful team of Bullfrogs with their 1282. I'm sorry that I couldn't change it on the TSLeagues but I get home after the game has already started on Thursday and TS Leagues doesn't really work on my phone, hence why I posted the team. Please give me a chance to be beat Johnny @thokash
Ah yes just checking in... I was aware I was beaten even though Touk gave me a small chance - only needed 60 or so combined from him and Collins in the last quarter but they barely moved good luck to both finalists
Bad luck @stripey you were on top basically all year, circumstances have been difficult towards the end with uncertainty and could have easily been the other way around. I checked the record books and although both the Savages and Magicians have been in finals every year since the inaugural 2012 season, we've only met once before in the 2013 semi-final, where the Savages won 1518-1448 in a record breaking affair.
