Errr, life. BTW, I had a geeze at the OP and I'm kinda more in favour of the rules regarding the draft as they've previously been for the previous 9 years, mainly that instead of skipping picks, we just auto pick on the previous season's avg. Skippping a pick is more punitive than an autopick which I can understand as a mechanism to more strongly encourage coaches to not miss their pick...however I don't think we're going to see an ORFFL world where everyone picks perfectly on time every time, because well life. Being more punitive in this way is instead IMO just going to lead to coaches becoming disenfranchised and disengaged in the game that has a culture of being fairly relaxed and adaptive to individual's differing situations and needs (as best as it can). Hope this makes sense.
Whats the fall back if Jason and he who shall not be named dont turn up??? auto delist then auto picks... or stand in coaches? Kinda need to have this covered off if team delistings are to be complete in the next week.
I've emailed J and walesy. Let's give it a couple of days. If they don't get back to us I'm thinking stand in coaches to delist and draft with the option to buy out the franchise. I'm very much leaning to favouring the incumbents because they've been here from the start and are good people.
Sure does. As I indicated, if ORFFL people were unhappy with the basis on which I'd manage the draft I'd gladly step away, I'll scrap the OP and become a regular ORFFL member, not an organiser, OTU to run the draft.
