Yeah probably a good idea to know the structure - imagine winner of 1's matchup plays the winner of 4's matchup next week. And winner of 2's matchup plays winners of 3's. Didn't want to have to play the most in-form team this week but if you don't finish top 4, you can't be a chooser. Will load up the team, hopefully find 15 willing soldiers and destroy the joint. (Not the one Relton's currently using....)
@Lucas - think the higher ranked remaining team from the H&A series has the choice of opponent from the two lowest ranked survivors. Might be wrong but seem to remember that's how it's been in the past.
That sounds fair enough - end of the day win 3 times and you're premiers with no jar in the way this year
In the past its just be done after this week based on end of season rankings: highest ranked remaining vs lowest ranked remaining. 3 weeks of finals with the Ross Lyon round avoided.
Good luck to those in the finals.. a forgettable year for the Bullfrogs with far too many injuries and out of form players…it’s entirely possible I only had one player actually improve his average this year, Touk you are a star!
Not sure you have posted the correct fixtures @Len - the discussion immediately above was about the semi-final round not the first round. Think the draw for this week is: MAL v SBT WOY v HDH DOC v GLE TAB v POP
Yeah I also think I've miscalculated the rounds again in that post above. If its Rd21 now then three weeks of finals takes us to the end of normal H&A fixtures. Having a look at my team I think the Glamas have a walk over, I've only got 15 fit n scoring if lucky with Sunday teams. C'mon boys, do it for Cunners!
Have tried to change lockout but the date and time of the WCE v MEL game is not set as a Monday evening fixture. Could someone who knows what they are doing please update @walesy and @Len ; thanks
I do not understand how TSLeagues is now open to move players around when it was apparently about to close before the CAR v GCS game. I know that potentially makes me sound like a poor loser but it does seem odd not to be able to loop hole high standard deviation players in that game.
Once I saw that Walesy had updated the fixtures I updated our lockout this morning before the day games started. It was set previously to lockout at the start of the STK v SYD game, not the CAR v GCS game. I am in no position to loophole in our matchup so it should benefit you more than me if you have emergencies playing. My list seems to have been held together with velcro and scotch tape all season.
Appreciate what your saying @port_leschenault ; thank you. I thought we were about to get locked out and am always surprised when Hickey gets on the park, hence moved him to the i/c where I could cover him and took Marshall out of the forwards and into the ruck. That was about 2 minutes before the then lock out. This meant I had to wear Fisher / Larkey posting 40. Had cover through my D's to work the i/c to maximise my score if I had thought lock out was not going to occur.. It is what it is.
Haven't looped anything all year. Just used emergencies how you use emergencies. If someone doesn't play. I'm sure it's cost me games but it's meant I can roll in on a Friday (mostly) and do a quick set and forget. That's what fantasy should be, not as all consuming. Maybe I'm not tooserious any more ...
Results are in: Mallacoota Magicians 1371 vs Shark Bay Tiger Sharks 725 Woy Woy Wizards 1388 vs Humpty Doo Hammerheads 1261 Dookie Chargers 925 vs Glenrowan Gunslingers 1219 Tamarama Beach Glamas 1376 vs Popanyinning Pyrite 1215 Not sure what happened to Shark Bay or Dookie but I'll never complain about a bad run of injuries again. Congrats to the winners, the Semis: Mallacoota Magicians vs Glenrowan Gunslingers Woy Woy Wizards vs Tamarama Beach Glamas
Looks like the other final was a ding dong battle. Hope I haven't peaked a week too early, game on @graeme!
