3/9th time in the Goldfields. If the visitor has brought a whole side they'd be a huge chance to win this convincingly @eagle_eyed
Progress Report from The Stadium..... In a very close but dour affair, with not a lot of talent on display, the local Barcrawlers lead the Parasites 7/568 to 7/550. The only shining lights for Banchang were the re-called Ladhams with 113, and ever reliable Dawson (104) with another ton. Meanwhile Pakenham were well served by Blicavs (116) down back and Gaff (93) on ball..... It's anyone's game from here..... @ddsaints
The Eylandt Cup The Barracuda's are on 1,037/12 86.5 to the Smugglers @DamoH 554/7 The home side has Weitering, Corn Boy Cripps & Ryder to the Visitors with plenty.

It’s a flogging for the home team at the Dino Dome with the visiting Dillos giving a master class:- AA 1198/12/99 HPD 823/11/74 @insider
Full Time at The Stadium and Pakenham have defeated the home team 1334-1157. With Banchang leading by 18 at the main break, it looked like this game could go down to the wire but the 2nd half was all one way traffic with the Parasites far superior all over the ground, with 4 of their 8 players tonning up and 2 hit the 90's. First cab off the rank for the visitors in this half, was Sinclair (140) holding sway in defence and limiting the Barcrawlers forwards to one of their lowest scores. His sidekick Darcy Moore (96) also gets an honourable mention. Marshall (96) in the ruck was able to give his midfield, Cerra (122) and Sidebottom (103) first use of the ball and they in turn were able to hit Butters (104) lace out on numerous occasions. The midfield for Banchang, Hewett, Adams and LDU, with scores118,97,92 respectively, all tried hard to stop the momentum but unfortunately had little success. All in all, a great win for Pakenham and a bad loss for the home team. BOG: 3. Sinclair PAK 140 2. Cerra PAK 122 1. Hewett BB 118 BIG TAP: Marshall PAK def Hayes BB 96-61 @ddsaints
@eagle_eyed It ended up being a tight one in the Goldfields, with most of the locals taking the undermanned visitors as a sign that they could also take it easy, and doing their very best to lose this game! Meanwhile the 'Gropers who did decide to make the short trip really did turn up to play, with half the side making triple figures. Unfortunately for the 'Gropers the bold strategy didn't quite pay off, as the Prospectors fell over the line with their noses infront. The votes: 3 - L Neale, Southern Cross, 164 2 - J Sicily, Coolgardie, 147 1 - R Laird, Southern Cross, 118 The giant tap was another walkover for O McInerney, finding himself alone in the ruck and scoring 112 valuable points in the process. Next week starts the byes and the trading, so good luck to all 18 teams.
Belated match report @Batfink NV 1256 def HPD 1088 Prairie Dogs would have felt somewhat confident coming into this game and most games having the two best players in the comp Oliver and Mills, boy did they not disappoint. Having the ball on string those boys found it at will with Oliver having a bout of leather poisoning sharking the home teams dominate ruckman, some might say watching this match it was 2 vs 15 as the rest of the team struggled finding the pill. In what has been a positive for the Dogs in comeback Rayner showing why he was drafted so highly. Vikings welcomed the move from Scott to the backline pumping out his highest score reaching the ton for first time this year leading the way, Mitchells up and down season continues but it was more the consistancy of the team with an even spread of scoring helping the Vikings reach victory Bailey Scott (112): Starting at half back, Scott contributed with 27 touches, 12 marks and 2 tackles. Tom Mitchell (129): Playing in midfield, Mitchell contributed with 36 disposals, 5 marks, 7 tackles, managed 1.0 and 5 free kicks given away. Christian Petracca (114): Starting in midfield, Petracca contributed with 30 possessions, 5 marks, 5 tackles and managed 0.1. Clayton Oliver (178): 45 possessions and 5 marks plus 6 tackles… helped out by 3FF. Playing inside midfield. Callum Mills (104): 22 touches and 7 marks plus 9 tackles. Playing central midfield. 3.Oliver 2.Mitchell 1. Petracca Big Tap English
The Barracuda's finish on 1,248/15 83.2 defeating the Smugglers @DamoH 1,136/15 75.7 The Eylandt Cup Young Jack Graham lead the way for the home side, the tackling machine was on fire, kicked a couple while he was there. Tomahawk had to fight for his 2 goals against Laverde, Astronaught bagged 4 goals however in the process gave away a couple of frees being locked by Lever. Oh Errol rotated in the midfield but ran out of legs. Answerth played deep for the visitors while Jimmy struggled with the pace of the game. With Stanley still out Ryder moved in first ruck and had 27 hit outs for the big bloke, taking down De Koning with only 16 hit outs. Off the bench the home side had Smith who played off the wing this week for 19 disposals, Jarrod flavoured Berry had a monster of a game, cheery picked his 33 disposals and slotting 1 from 50 meters. Rampe was in defense on the resting mid for the visitors while Milera was eased into his first match of the season. In the engine room Zorko wasn’t so magnificent today, his opponent knew all his tricks today, however the Bont worked hard for 21 disposals and goal butting heads with Redden, Corn Boy Cripps grunting through the middle off Viney who roamed the inside centre. Guthrie and Crouch battled all day both racking up the touches. Out of the strong hold of defense the home side had some issues in Q1, Weitering going down and subbed out earlier and then McGov tweaking his back after a contest, gone as well. This left Lloyd and Tuohy to take on the rampaging Mr Matrix who went massive in Q1 with Weitering out, Edwards followed suit with 2 goals, Zurhaar played higher up the ground and Big Charlie booted 4 big ones. The Cuda’s took the points this week and keep hold of the Eylandt Cup for another year, however it came at a cost of two significant injuries while the Smugglers look forward to the mid-season break to regroup and strategies to salvage the second half of their season. BOG – J Anderson (CIS), J Graham (GEB) & J Berry (GEB)
Ararat Armadillos 1,519 Defeat Hughenden Prairie Dogs 1,087 It was a massacre at the Dino Dome with the visiting Armadillos putting on a master class for the fans; sadly it was the Hughenden faithful had to endure another lacklustre performance from their team. There were few weaknesses in the Dillo’s armour, led in defence with BOG - Stewat (174) and Ryan (141), the midfield of Brayshaw (100), McDonald (132), Selwood (111) and Rowbottom (101) taking full advantage of the ruck dominance of Gawn (118) and the forward line having a day out through Treloar (109) and Rozee (106). Ararat would be pleased with their effort going in to the Byes, securing a spot in the final 8 by easily dismissing a lower ranked opponent and exposing Hughenden’s structural problems stemming from having no playing ruckman. The only highlights for Hughenden was the continued good form of Mills (117) and Oliver (113) with only Membrey (100) providing any sort of target up forward. Another disappointing day for the home team who will be looking for an injection of players in the Mid season draft with Ararat fans looking toward another finals campaign by sending a message to the rest of the competition to be wary of a rampaging Dillo BAFFU Awards 3 Stewart Ararat (174) 2 Ryan, Ararat (141) 1 McDonald Ararat (132) BigTap – Gawn (118) over Logue (21) @insider
Early in the 1st, in what shapes as an 8 point game that Southern Cross have to win to have any chance of making finals, the Sandgropers (286/3/95), have raced out of the blocks to take a 286 point lead over @ddsaints Parasites (0/0/0), who are struggling to get out of the change rooms.
