    @ddsaints
The Buff turning it on for finals while the Parasties can't take a trick with Moore being added to an already extensive injury list.
    Serengeti 1065/11/97 v Pakenham 539/7/77

Apologies to all on the lack of previews. Life got in the way and not enough time to recover. Hoping for more of an opportunity next week

1/2 way through the 3rd sees @insider Armadillos with the runs on the boards but the plucky Bulls with the wickets in the sheds

    AA 1090/12/90
    SFB 761/8/95

All to play for in what could go to the wire!

On the back of newcombe's 174 and an untimely injury to wingard the Bulls have caused one of the biggest upsets in FU Finals history running out approx 150 point winners 1450 to 1300. For the Bulls their highest score since the final H&A round of 2020 and a stunning 500 point turnaround from only 2 weeks ago.
Commiserations to @insider who has set the benchmark in 2023 and will be one of the favorites again in 2024.

A late surge by the Parasites has fallen just short.

Sliding Doors Round 2 Finals ORFFU edition

    Staghorn Flat Bulls
    IF

Coach @Tyze thought we was a goner against the No1 seeded team in the competition...
    Then
Nobody told Jai Newcombe! The prolific Midfielder saved his best game for the weekend. Amassing 40 touches, 12 marks, 4 tackles, 5 clearances and a goal to boot! 174SC points to go with Brayshaw's and McCluggages 130+ the Bulls are one fire!

    Nuytsland Vikings
    IF

Coach @bryzza thought he had the middle men to get the job done...
    Then
He better re-think his strategy going into the next round of finals. Poor performances will not be tolerated from the coaching team. Standout performances from English, Schultz and Crouch were enough to get the Vikings through to the next round.

    Serengeti Buffalos
    IF

Coach @wrightbrendan thought he could win this week without a ruckman....
    Then
He was right! Substitute ruckman Bailey Smith was dominated by Marshall all day but it was the rest of the team that got the job done. Saad, Parish, Cameron and the old-aged-pensioner Dangerfield were all outstanding. Can they hold it together for another week? Can they find a ruckman for next week?

    Korumburra Blowflys
    IF

Coach @Mick was worried about losing Nick Daicos....
    Then
It didn't show on the weekend. Astute selections were made maximising his total scoring potential. Witherden and Nic Martin did enough to carry their sides home but can they improve next week?

    And......

    Ararat Armadillos
    IF

The Armadillos were the benchmark for 2023
    Then
I cannot see that changing much in 2024. With a team of stars all performing week in week out, they will be a force again next year. If only coach @insider had chosen one of the other 6 teams he outscored... Including my prediction ;):thumbsu:
