I was about to do this. I'm taking some liberties in the dates to suit my own holidays - helped by the fact the AFL has given us 4 consecutive weeks of byes this year, so we can be more flexible. I'm aware of one other coach who is also on holiday across the period. Is anyone else going away, or planning on being otherwise unavailable during the AFL byes? Feel free to PM me if you don't want to post it publicly. I'm just trying to accommodate all coaches as best possible.
MID SEASON DATES The final games of AFL round 11 will be completed on the night of Sunday 26 May. Our mid season shenanigans can then commence! The ORFFU will restart on Friday June 28, with the AFL R16 Brisbane v Melbourne clash. I'm going to take some liberties with the dates to suit myself, and others who are on holidays across the AFL byes - which is greatly helped by the fact the AFL have given us 4 consecutive rounds of byes this year (so nearly 5 full weeks between the last ORFFU game before the byes, and the first ORFFU game after the byes). We'll run with effectively 4 weeks of trading (and research time), prior to the draft, which we'll then get done in less than a week (so please don't drag out the MSD otherwise that'll stuff everything up). So: 26 May, Sunday - Last game of ORFFU R11 (AFL R11) 27 May, Monday - ORFFU MS trading opens 19 June, Wednesday - ORFFU Delistments deadline 20 June, Thursday - ORFFU MSD Begins 27 June, Thursday - ORFFU lists finalised, no more trading 28 June, Friday - First game of ORFFU R12 (AFL R16) If anyone can see any issue with this, please let me know.
Now, on my personal note, I will be away for a few weeks on a family holiday. If anyone sends me trade enquiries and I don't respond, just know that yes I am ignoring you because I've got much better things to do! I'm not taking my laptop with me, so will only have my phone, and not all my spreadsheets. I'm unlikely to be overly responsive, so please don't take offense, and just be patient.
Hey legends. Do you remember when we did the Mid Season State of Origin between the coaches. Not sure what we called it, but it has been a while since we did it. Was thinking we could do something similar, but its played over the next 3 weeks so all AFL teams get to play. We could use the normal SC format (2 rucks etc) with two head coaches who get to pick their assistant coaches and subsequent players from that coaches team. Every team has to supply a minimum of 2 players. To pick the two head coaches, it could be whoever is top and whoever is bottom or teams 1+2, doesnt really matter, but whoever is lower gets to pick their first assistant coach. Could be fun, could be dumb... thoughts?
If anyone is interested in the current 13th best supercoach player in the game, a midfielder averaging 116.5 points per game, then look no further than Armadillo Adam Treloar. I’m looking for a defender or forward. Same age is fine, I’m not chasing youth like many; just positionally diversifying
No...... it's only 3 drafts ahead... 2024 MSD, 2025 PSD 2025 MSD (c) You can trade draft picks in the 3 drafts directly ahead (updated due to poll in December 2017). Picks in the most distant draft will become available for trade upon board announcement following the relevant drafting period.
Technically a yes then too? Usually we have time after the draft to trade but this year no end date on MSD just straight into the first game
I think you blokes are referring to this.... Picks in the most distant draft will become available for trade upon board announcement following the relevant drafting period. So if we can knock over the MSD by Sunday PM (4 days) that will leave 4 days of trading...b4 the 1st game on resumption.
I'm back from holidays! Not really a miss, as we have trading during the draft - so whenever the draft is open and until the day before the season restarts, any trades can be made.
Agree with "trading during the draft" but not 2026 PSD picks, as per the rules, if I'm reading them correctly Picks in the most distant draft will become available for trade upon board announcement following the relevant drafting period.
