You can trade a player/s for a pick/s as long as it all equals out and you end up drafting enough players in to end up with a 28 player squad.

The pick was live. No issues there. It’s been done before. Will be done again :thumbsu:

I believe you Are right , once draft starts it's player for player as your unused picks are dead

This is for JPK to confirm, but I reckon it's OK.
KB had 26 players at the time of the trade and 2 picks in the PSD. He traded his 2nd pick for a player...

    by 2 bob's worth...

Haha. Always something. It was a live pick - I had 2 spots available (26 players after delistments). I planned on using pick 13 and 52.

Pick 48 (52) is live - that’s why it moved from 52 -> 48. I traded that pick and got an established player in that spot instead of drafting one in. It’s been done before. Check the old draft thread for previous examples. Yes, Please confirm @JPK

It's an "Active" pick (PSD 2023 52) for KB, KB confused the waters by calling it something else (it will be taken earlier due to dead picks).
Being that the pick was active it must be used by the holder of the pick or can be traded for a pick in this draft or a player and the coach selling the player now has a spot to use the pick being offered. I'm sure @JPK will confirm this.

Hey, all cool, makes sense. I just thought we had that rule in place, but I was wrong. All good, move along, nothing to see here!

Yeah, nah, in short all is good - its just that once delistments are completed no team can exceed 28 players.
So @Mick all good here mate.

(Sorry for the delayed response, some of us have to work during the day!)

I'm not that keen on using pick 16, open to offers to slide back in this draft for a future PSD pick

Southern Cross Ruckman, Kieran Briggs, has packed his bags and is headed to idyllic Eden to join @HOLKY ‘s Whalers, for PSD50 (currently 47).

    Cheers for the simple negotiations.

    Go Sandgropers!!!

I’m looking to get back into this draft by trading in a pick or 2. I’m open to options in terms of players and future pick/s - any trades would need to involve 1 of Menegola, Conway or Clark to make room on my list for the pick/s. Hit me up if you’re interested. Cheers
