The final four is locked and loaded, and semi final team is here. 2 mouth watering matchups that the bookies have run away from and instead thought we should talk about the actual teams playing.... Game 1 Glenbrook Galahs (1st) @ver_redit_optatum vs Bathurst Belles (4th) @Len The Galahs have been virtually unbeatable this year, amassing the highest points scored for the year and only dropping the one game on the way to finishing top spot. Consistency has been their catchcry with only 1 player scoring under 30 in the last 5 weeks, while strong performers like Bonnici, McLaughlin and Goldsworthy ensure scoring continues across all lines. Their opponents waited until Round 10 to qualify but did so with a thumping win over the Wallabies off the back of the always performing Laura Gardiner. Ellie McKenzie is out this week through injury though, and this could cause a reshuffle of the Belles midfield - can they cover her loss? A rock solid backline that regularly scores high will be a strong help to negate the might of the Galahs. Game 2 Pomona Wood Nymphs (2nd) @anthak v Vivonne Bay Valkeries (3rd) @That KI Guy This game should have the lot. Equal on wins with a light points for to the Nymphs. Too tight to call. The Nymphs as always rely heavily on their superstar Ebony Marinoff, but have had some surprise packets this year with the marked improvement in fantasy scoring for Ash Woodland, Amy Smith & Britney Gutneckt. This has seen them second highest in scoring this year as they have regular strong contributors. The Valks have had an awesome season and their team rarely changed once the coach settled on his forward line. The bench of Tyla Hanks and Matilda Scholz have been breathtaking and the tackling machine that is Gabby Newton continues to rack up the big fantasy points. For my 2 cents, I think the Galahs have been the strongest and most consistent team so they are my favourite in game 1 and in game 2 I am going for a surprise and think the Valkeries just might get over the line, but I know everyone is looking forward to two close, tight matches. Best of luck and may the best 2 teams fight it out next week!
