OK Len, will do as requested. Please disregard my post time stamped Yesterday@9:57pm - the Nat Fyfe auction will continue until 7 pm AEST on Friday the second of October 2015. All good Graham, I am not immune to a bout of forgetfulness myself :) I loved it, it created some real interest and activity, never a bad thing , and most importantly you do get to decide if the bid meets your needs. As I said, I never thought it would, I don't believe he was ever seriously for sale, but, I applaud the listing, we need more excitement ;) Please, have no illusions about this, had I received a bid that met my (admittedly lofty) valuation I would have pulled the trigger. CR's offer was not that far away and Ant's final offer was really close. The safety catch had been tentatively released .... You should take my belief as a compliment Graham, he is head and shoulders the best player in the league, I looked earnestly at my stocks and I have a mountain of youthful prospects, and new the only price high enough would destroy my team. Thus my belief he was never for sale, the price is/was simply too high. I suspect you will overcome the devastation of not being able to sell him ;)

It's just that my late pappy taught me to be suspicious of those who either cannot remember my name or spell it incorrectly.

Mine told me 'call me anything you like, just not late for breakfast' Quite a different concept.. I've had a new employee start, his name is Graham, having always spelt it the other way I have just started to get it right for him, I'll try to avoid a repeat... /Portals/0/Users/017/57/3857/download.jpg

lol reminds me of that classic (and unashamedly un-PC) 12th man banter between Bill Lawry and Max Walker: Bill: Grahemy Labrooy? His name's Graeme Max...

Max: Yes, well all his team mates have such long and complicated names. Seems a shame for this young man to miss out. I think I'll just go on calling him Grahemy.

Bill: Jeez you're f*cked in the head sometimes Max.

Getting a bit bored of not doing much in the trade period so auctioning a few off, hopefully gets something happening but not as much as Fyfe did I'm sure.. 1. Liam Picken, averaged 106.5 after round 3. 99 if including. 2. Brad Hill, averaged 78. Bound for a breakout year sooner or later, probably win the norm smith saturday as well... Obviously differing values for the players, will listen to all offers when/if they come about and provide feedback as soon as I can and if they meet reserve. Auction ends Sunday 4th of October at 10PM, so its a short one.. :)

Thanks for the offer though, best one so far. :)

Though to be fair, Hill had been in pretty good form the past 4 weeks ... and got injured in the GF too.

I still like him as a player (I traded him to Fitzy about 12 months ago) - if he gets a fair run at it he'll improve as some of the aging Hawks players move on.

It'll be interesting to see how he goes.

I like him too, and the Spelunkers are not ruling out making an approach to pair him up with his brother in the guts, I'm trying to devalue him Chris in the eye of his current owner... sheesh

Damn it, I keep buggering this 'devaluing thing up'. Sorry Bandit.

Can we say he gets injured a bit? Does that help? :)

    new auction...

    Andrew Mackie, Geelong defender.
Has only just turned 31 last month.

    He averaged88.2SC this season, after ave86.1in 2014 and87.4in 2013.

Before this season, he only played less than 20 games in a season once (19 in 2011) since Hawthorn beat Geelong in the 2008 grand final.

He ranked in the top 20 defenders in the whole AFL for 2015.

In return, I'm looking for a 1st 15 player aged 24-25 in any position, except forward. Or a high draft pick. or both.
Not sure how long this will run for.

Lets see how it goes. <div>
Im going to pull this auction. If anyone wants Mackie, please enquire privately. He is still available. OK, Im putting Mackie back on the table, up for auction! As per the rules, I will now set a closing time for this auction of 2:30am Melbourne time on Sunday October 4th, if such a time exists. Ive decided to close this auction now. If you want Mackie, please PM me. Cheers
