BLOCKBUSTER deal between Iron Knob and Gariwerd Coach Jimbo and Anthak have met and discussed a deal to shake up both squads and freshen them up heading into the new season. Iron Knob GETS Robbie Gray Koby Stevens Gariwerd GETS Nathan Jones Richard Douglas Pick #18 PSD My midfield depth allows me to make this deal and give up some good value to land Gray. Fingers crossed he maintains his M/F status in 2015 and I can throw him into an underperforming forward line. I like Stevens and attempted to acquire him last year, although he didn't progress much this year I hope he can get it together in a codpiece. I am also a huge fan of Robbie's although he has the Port stench about him, no one can doubt his brilliance. Thanks Jimbo. Definitely a win win. Im fairly certain Gray will keep his M/F status. I'm actually hoping Douglas gets MPP next year, but that's wishful thinking. I really like Douglas and am stoked to get him. Same for Jones, but he's a star and it goes without saying. Jim, it wasn't just last year that you enquired about Koby Stevens. I reckon we've discussed a potential trade involving him in almost every trade period since ORFFA began. Admittedly, some of the time it was me trying to temp you into a trade :) Anyway, I'm happy with the trade... Even though it involved my 2014 B&F winner and 2014 club captain! Actually the 2013 versions (Adam Cooney and Shaun Burgoyne) of those two honours are no longer at Gariwerd either :( Im glad I held off on all the trade offers coming in for Gray over the years. Thanks for the other comments too. Chief, I don't think this trade makes me a top 8 side. I've got some pretty big issues down at Gariwerd that I need to sort out before considering prospect of finals footy.

There is not one iota of doubt that you are now a top 8 side Mr. Cockatoo. Your trading during this period has been exceptional. Rumour mill says Paddy is leaving the Crows on the heels of Sanderson (possibly along with Tex Walker). No indication of where to. May be just some over-excited bloggers, but could have implications for ORFFA (e.g. the value of Douglas would rise).

<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt 36pt; background: #fcfcfc;]As was the case in the 2013/14 offseason Cradle Mountain are likely to be more active in discussions during the 2014/15 February/March trade period than the September one as the knowledge of which players are playing in the AFL and what positions they are eligible to play in will impact on who the Devils seek to recruit. <p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt 36pt; background: #fcfcfc;] <p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt 36pt; background: #fcfcfc;]Even with the best case scenario in terms of which players continue in the AFL in 2015 and their position eligibility Cradle Mountain will be looking to recruit at least one experienced forward, so have decided to commence the search for this player now. <p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt 36pt; background: #fcfcfc;] <p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt 36pt; background: #fcfcfc;]We are content with the young forward line talent on our list and are looking for an experienced forward around 25 to 28 years old as a rough guide. <p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt 36pt; background: #fcfcfc;] <p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt 36pt; background: #fcfcfc;]A few options available to facilitate this trade are: <p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt 36pt; background: #fcfcfc;] <p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt 56.25pt; background: #fcfcfc;]· One of our third round PSD picks, 37 or 49. <p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt 56.25pt; background: #fcfcfc;] <p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt 56.25pt; background: #fcfcfc;]· Lee Spurr, a defender who will turn 28 during the 2015 season but has less kilometres on the clock than most players of his age due to making his AFL debut at 24 years of age in 2012. Spurr averaged 73 points in 2014 and 72 points in 2013 and showed great durability during this time to play 47 of Fremantle's 49 games during this period.
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt 56.25pt; background: #fcfcfc;]· Will also consider trading Spurr and a 3rd round PSD pick for an experienced forward but obviously expect more in return for this package deal.

I keep itching to put in bids on players or suggest a trade - I have a hopeless trigger finger on trades, most notoriously in fantasy basketball, as Ant will attest! - but I keep looking at my list and thinking I shouldn't because I've already got enough kids running around on my team and I need the slightly older guys to balance things out. Sigh. The laments of a trade-a-holic.

Have responded with a copy of the original. BTW, it is not trade related, simply 'personal.'

[span style='font-family: 'MS Sans Serif'; font-size: 13px;]Len, I'd suggest based on historic valuations of his players and paraphrasing the great Paul Kelly, Fitzy would be looking for 'all of Sydney harbour (all that land, all that water) and that one sweet promenade.' But boy the kid can play! [span style='text-align: center; background: #ccccdd;]

I think you are on the money chels :) Spot on hahaha. Really broken through the last 2 years improving his average by 16, then 22 this year. Hoping his scoring continues to climb!

The Chooks and the Lefties have agreed to a deal which sees Sam Wright head north across Investigator Strait in exchange for pick 48 in the PSD

Late trade, possibly the last for 2014. Marble Bar sends Jack Steven, Pick 5 and Pick 21 to Venus Bay, Venus Bay send Will Hoskin-Elliot, Jackson Merrett, Pick 3 and Pick 50 to Marble Bar

I did get back to you, I expressed my interest in a player of yours. I did say I would take a deeper look later but that doesn't mean I have to make the trade proposal, after all, you were the one who came to me :)
