    no worries at all SammyHez. I may not be an expat all season either.
    Being overseas is still just an experiment for us - sometimes we are thinking we will head back to Australia, and sometimes we are thinking we want to stay here for years. lol. Still up in the air what and when our next move will be.</blockquote>
    i wrote this yesterday and my mrs quit her job today, so really up in the air now... got a few things to work out.</blockquote>

    Anthak, don't worry mate, in a very similar situation as you at the moment - recent developments on the work scene mean I could be anywhere in the next few months - Uncertainty is the life of the expat "that is the way we roll" !!

    So we are all set ~ 16/16 teams from around the world.

    I'm thinking I'll get a Trophy made here in the States, which will be shipped to the Overall Winner at the end of the season....cheesy yes but fun.

    Anyone else have any thoughts ?

    I was wondering how we could get a league flag made up that is an amalgamation of the flags of our current countries of residence - it would look wild

    @Simonoz - great idea!

    Last year I played in a family league called M.E.A.T. (it was the the first letters of each surname involved) - the winner received a cheap silver meat tray with the league logo (a rip-off of the AFL logo) printed out and stuck on it.

    Lot of fun and plenty of competition for the "cup" in the run home.

    Deal then.....

    The overall winner of the 2011 Tooserious Expat League will receive a cheesy trophy engraved with their name & score.

    Plus I have an Ebay store here...

    http://stores.ebay.com/madison7798

    of Sports Memorabilia but its all American stuff ~ I'll try to acquire something over the coming months thats more 'Australian' worth a couple hundred dollars and will donate that to the winner as well.

    Now the "Travelling Aussies" have something to play for....

    I'd also suggest that if you havent already, try to donate some funds to TooSerious this season for giving us this platform to compete in the World Games :)

    @ELeviathan - I've made up an image featuring all of our various flags and the TooSerious logo (apologies to Walesy if using the logo isn't cool - can be easily changed if required).

    A couple of us are in the same country so rather than double up on those flags I went with the Aussie flag first and last - a bit of symbolism thrown in for free!

    Check my profile for a look at the image... or feel free to let this newbie know how to post the image here in this forum thread :p

    I looked on your profile mate - that is bloody brilliant!!! Another tick for this exemplary TooSerious community!! I definitely have to see if I can get one of those made up - should be a relatively cheap exercise in this country...

    You guys are awesome! Thanks heaps for organising this!

    Just one thing on the combined flag... I reckon you should hold off making it and go with the flags of the countries we are in when the season kicks off in R1.

    reason being, We may be moving to Taiwan next week. Should know for sure tomorrow or next day.

    You may need to find a space for one of these on there:

    Cheers, guys

    Any changes to your location by Rd.1 just let me know and I'll make adjustments to the league flag ;)

    BTW Anthak, that's the first time I've seen the Taiwanese flag... it's a ripper!

    Oh you guys are fricking epic!

    Makes me want to build in some kind of internal TS trophy case to mark who wins the various TS leagues and other assorted competitions!

    Could have them show up in your profile and in posts. :)

    Why thank you walesy - most kind - perhaps a virtual and perpetual trophy case is possible but one suspects most are chasing bragging rights, something which will take on a new significance for anthak if he ever reaches Taiwan.

    If the Americans can have a World Series that only includes domestic teams then we have every right to blow our own trumpet. With little thanks to the AFL, there are a surprising number of active footy comps around the world, mostly made up of expats, but with a sprinkling of locals as well. I hope one day to have the privilege of presenting the Bangkok Tigers with a TS T-shirt.

    Did J_in_Japan arrive in time for a seat on the TS World Series?

    @walesy - tomorrow the Universe!

    @ Terry

    I'm there as Dikileaks, a smattering of humourism to my St Kilda supporting family in the name.
